Barclays Current Account Overdraft With PPI Help

Please accept my appoligies if I have posted this in the wrong section but here we go.
I can recall when taking out the overdraft on my current account I was informed that to be accepted for it I need the PPI. Anyway I only realised that I didnt need it with all publicity over the last couple of months. Can I claim this back the same as the Credit cards and loans procedure??
