Landsbanki - Icesave
Am I the only person disgusted by the appalling service (?) offered by this bank? Attracted by the higher than usual interest rate I opened an account last week. It took me more than 45 minutes just to set up a direct debit! Today I attempted to make a transfer of several thousands of pounds which also took more than 45…

Coventry First Account - Short Term Bonus?
Martin recommends the Coventry First Account to pay a decent interest if you're paying in over £1k per month. On checking the T's and C's it appears that this is a bonus that may apply for the first year only. Does anyone know if this is correct or does the good rate continue on after one year? Thanks.

Recommendations for an Excellent Online Account Please!
Hi everyone, Thought I would ask my buddies at MSE for your advice on a good online account. In 1996, I opened a mortgage account with (the-then) Virgin One Account which I was really happy with. At the time, I was in a job paying bonuses, etc and I paid an additional £15k off my mortgage the first year. However in 2002, I…

I guess I should open a regular saver in her name and see what I can afford to put in each month, and can see which the good ones are from the main forum, but are there any decent freebies with any…

Hi I've held a Lloyds basic account for a year but it drives me mad that I can only withdraw cash in their machines and that you don't have a debit card. They refused to give me a debit card so I applied and was accepted for a co-op cashminder with a debit card. My question is should I close my Lloyds account? My plan…

Choosing a new Current Account
I have banked with Cahoot for many years, mainly because of their decent savings rates and the ability to transfer money instantly between accounts.
