Parachute accounts

Hi all,
In the middle of court claim against Barclays (9-3-07!!), so looking for Parachute account.
Looked @ Coop & A & L, but I notice in their T & C's they explain their charges.
In spite of this site, CAG etc, they are still advising £25-35 "penalties" for exceeding the overdraft, failed DD's, dishounored cheques etc.
Has the Money Program, the OFT and all their out of court settlements not taught them anything?

There is no bank in the country, which does not charge for exceeding overdraft, bounced DDs etc.chrisnorden wrote:In spite of this site, CAG etc, they are still advising £25-35 "penalties" for exceeding the overdraft, failed DD's, dishounored cheques etc.

Haven’t your problems with Barclays not taught you anything: to run your account in good order?0 -
The banks are probably still making more money from the majority who don't claim these charges back, than if they reduced their charges to a fair level that nobody could challenge.0

Although it is an assumption to assume that the OP's charges were incurred through poor money management

I think the assumption was made because the thing the OP is looking for in a new account is low charges (for the next time they end up incuring them perhaps .... )sgx.saint wrote:Although it is an assumption to assume that the OP's charges were incurred through poor money management
Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -
get an account with any of them with a large enough overdraft simple as, do a budget and stick to it, and if you do get it a little wrong one month the overdraft will save you the charges.
After all its a over draft not a target. If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

It's a given.
In the case if the OP, or in general?
As, I know for a fact it certainly wasn't a given in my case.0 -
