Cannot Connect New Flat With New Provider Due To Cease
Hi folks, Not necessarily a money thing but of a being mucked about thing. I moved into a new property at the beginning of this month and had to change providers because Virgin can't supply my new property. I decided to go with Origin Broadband. Origin e-mailed me a couple of days after signing up and paying, saying that…

Should i cancel sky BB before activation
Hi, I signed up for Sky Broadband around the 3rd of april for my new house, £18.99 a month for 12 months. It still isn't activated (activation date is the 21st of april) however I saw the BT Infinity BB offer on this mornings email and was wondering if it would be better to cancel sky before it's activated and follow up on…

Comparing broadband deals
Hi I am currently with sky, don't want to leave but it is so expensive now and retentions not helping. I am thinking of staying on sky tv and leaving phone and broadband (I currently pay £38 for BB/line rental but we don't use our phone at all). I have emails and letters from BT and Talktalk which can both get my costs…

Avoid POP Telecom at all costs!
These people are total scam artists. I was mis-sold an internet package by a sales agent at CarPhone Warehouse, and I've been complaining to POP Telecom since early January, but they keep giving me the runaround, always changing their story and never calling me back when they say they will. I've asked them multiple times…

Left BT, Went to NowTv Broadband 30 day rolling contract & want to switch back BT as
I left BT at the end of a year’s contract in April due to increased charges for existing customer, went to NowTV Broadband and TV Combo (part of Sky - £44 connection charge but £80 cashback via Quidco) on a 30 day rolling contract, but want to switch back to BT for new customer deals/cashback offers - what I want to know…

Bt reward problem claiming
Hi Folks I'm new to the forum so hope I'm posting in the right area etc. I recently (on Martin Lewis morning tv recommendation) signed up to the BT Infinity £250 reward offer (£200 reward card and £50 cashback). Martin advised that this offer was only available via the Cable.co.uk site and this is the route I took. I…

Hi there, I'm searching for broadband packages, have no credit and am about to declare bankruptcy so looking for a credit check free option. Talk Talk is one of my creditors so they are out as an option. I'm not very good at understanding which options suit my needs so any help would be great! -Budget is £30-£40 a month,…

Cheap sim for data only for tablet
I've given my grandson a Samsung galaxy tablet - 10 inches. He watched a lot of you tube, Disney car racing & stuff. What would be a good deal on a data only sim for him, it's vitally important that once it's gone, it's gone & big bills can't be notched up!!! I have no idea how much data is needed, I wouldn't save loads as…

BT cashback/offer check
Is there anyway to find out what offer I signed upto? At end of Jan 17 I signed up to BT for my new place and in the move I've misplaced what rewards I should be getting. It would be handy to have a list of these on the site so people don't get fobbed off. Alister

BT - where do I start?
Well... I was a previous BT client but opted for Sky a few years back due to a better package offering (I thought)... turns out the Broadband was much slower and have since opted to re-subscribe to BT. Had no prior problems with BT at all. Smart Hub arrived and installation was simple - all worked great for a day 52MB…

Openreach and leaving holes open?
Not really sure this is the right forum for this post but I'm not sure where it should go... We had an old BT post just on the edge of out drive that was damaged and dangerous so Openreach said they would remove it then bury the connections. They taped a cone to it and for 2 months did nothing until I called and asked what…

Opt for Virgin TV or do I have another option?
We currently have Virgin BB which for the most part (touches wood) is ok, although the Wifi signal is a bit weak at the other end of the flat. We get a bad signal for freeview from the aerial on the roof and have no tv socket in the back bedroom either, so are relying on picking up channels via a cheap plastic aerial. Was…

Any way of speeding up activation with BT?
So....just moved to a new property and as we were leaving our old provider, stupidly, I left it very late to set up our new Broadband. BT have advised it will take until 18th April to activate having signed up today. May seem like a silly question, but is there any possible way of speeding this up? My Mrs has some…

Viginmedia Broadband & Hub 3 issues
I thought I would share my recent exepricence of Viginmedia. In November 2016 I decided to change to Fibre broadband and chose a Virginmedia phone and broadband package with £14.99 installation fee. On sign up I was offered a Dec 9 start date. Then I got an email saying it would be delayed to 13 Jan 2017. On 12 Jan I got a…

How much longer - fibre broad band
We live in a semi rural location where the telephone exchange is a long way away and consequently have a slow internet connection which goes off with the slightest excuse. A while ago a new green cabinet appeared, fibre is on it's way! I have been looking on the open reach site for a while and it now gone from 'Connecting'…
