Opt for Virgin TV or do I have another option?

Options
We currently have Virgin BB which for the most part (touches wood) is ok, although the Wifi signal is a bit weak at the other end of the flat.

We get a bad signal for freeview from the aerial on the roof and have no tv socket in the back bedroom either, so are relying on picking up channels via a cheap plastic aerial.

Was thinking to upgrade current Virgin package to include TV boxes in both rooms which would solve signal problems.

I can already access Netflix, Sky Go and BT Sport via my PS4 so have no need for additional channel packages.

Is the aboe the best way to go about this or am open to any other suggestions.

Thanks

I have tried one of Netgear's extenders with not much difference. Could you suggest any others, or a different method?

Run a cable or if that is not practicable use powerline networking.

Do you know what your incoming signal strength is at the master socket/ VM box .

How would one check that if one needed to?

May or may not be useful but I get speeds of about 100mb/s download and 4-5mb/s upload on the PS4 via ethernet connection

Not sure about the incoming signal strength question, as the incoming connection is not wireless. Your download speed looks pretty good.

However, as I recommended to someone else on this forum, something like the TP link TL-WPA4220 Kit would be my solution. There are other makes that will do the same job.

or maybe the channel or frequency needs changing.
Can't remember if this is automatic, although it isn't always correct
