BT - where do I start?

Well... I was a previous BT client but opted for Sky a few years back due to a better package offering (I thought)... turns out the Broadband was much slower and have since opted to re-subscribe to BT. Had no prior problems with BT at all.
Smart Hub arrived and installation was simple - all worked great for a day 52MB speeds - great!
Then all Windows devices stopped connecting (Apple was OK, just not Windows). Then couldn't log onto the hub. After a brief discussion with BT support, the identified that the problem must be with the Hubs firmware and that this would be replaced.
Had a text within minutes to state that a new Hub was on its way and would arrive very shortly... that day came and passed and I contacted support who said that the hub had been delivered (which it hadn't) - I explained that there must be a problem as when I logged on to track to delivery it stated that it was both 'out for dispatch' and 'completed'. The sent another one which was due Tuesday this week [took the day off to ensure I was here to accept]... again came and passed. Same delivery status .
Had a call from BT complaints this morning asking if I was happy with my Smart Hub... I did politely say that I was hoping to be... but alas no... Rep said that they were taking personal responsibility for the next one (number 4!).
Any ideas as to legitimate next steps? I have been paying for a service I haven't had!
Many Thanks
