Thank You Orange For "Improving" My Broadband
I had an e-mail last week informing me that Orange would be carrying out work that would improve my broadband speed, great I thought. My broadband speed has now been "improved", my connection has reduced by 1500 kbps and my download speed has reduced by 1Mbps. Thanks for that :(

Fibre for new build property
Hoping that someone can help with a problem trying trying to register for a fast internet connection in a new build property. I recently moved to a new build flat which is a new build in a built up area. The new postcode is recognised but only on some sites so when I check if I can receive Cable or Fibre to the premises…

Migrating Virgin media emails
The good news is that if you want to migrate all your virgin emails to a gmail account, I can only vouch for this as I have just done it, it can be done. Go into your gmail settings: accounts and check emails from another account, which is your soon to be defunct virgin emails and in about 2 hours or so, your virgin emails…

May be a silly question
I have bt infinity and am happy with it. I rarely use my landline as I have enough minutes on my mobile. I'm trying to cut costs. My contract is up for my phone line but I still have 6 months on my broadband. My question is, can I switch just my landline to another provider and keep my broadband with bt? I'm guessing that…

Talk Talk TV really worthwhile?
I've been with Talk Talk for quite sometime and I had been suffering download speeds of less than 1 mbps. Complaining via their foreign customer services proved hopeless as I couldn't understand them anymore than they could understand me. I then joined their customers forums and after tinkering with my line they managed to…

Requesting a MAC code via post
Hi I was wondering whether anyone has successfully requested a MAC code from their broadband supplier by post rather than by phoning them. Reason for asking: I know I will be kept on the phone for a while being passed from person to person then put on hold etc trying to sell me a new deal etc etc before I eventually get my…

BT - "back billing" for broadband service
Hi I have just assumed the treasurer role at my local voluntary run Playgroup and am trying to establish our rights against BT. In summary, BT have provided telephone and broadband services to the Playgroup for many years with their invoices settled by direct debit, typically £28 a month. In August BT amalgamated the…

A chat with BT.
Bit of background. I ordered BT infinity for the sports a few month back, when it came to installation, it was a nightmare getting them to turn up. I rang complain and had £20 credit given to me. When I checked my bill today there was no sign of the £20. So here's my chat with an advisor. A genuine mistake her, or normal…
