Talk Talk TV really worthwhile?

I've been with Talk Talk for quite sometime and I had been suffering download speeds of less than 1 mbps. Complaining via their foreign customer services proved hopeless as I couldn't understand them anymore than they could understand me. I then joined their customers forums and after tinkering with my line they managed to increase my speeds up to a barely acceptable 3.2mbps. This can drop at peak times.
My current contract with them ends this month. Should I stay with them?
They always seem to come out on top as being the cheapest internet provider and I quite fancy giving the internet TV deal a go but feedback on here and on Talk Talks own forums suggest that the installation of the You View box can halve the download speed which will put me back to square one.
Can anyone give any positive feedback on Talk Talk or would I be better paying more and looking elsewhere?
