Migrating Virgin media emails

The good news is that if you want to migrate all your virgin emails to a gmail account, I can only vouch for this as I have just done it, it can be done.

Go into your gmail settings: accounts and check emails from another account,which is your soon to be defunct virgin emails and in about 2 hours or so, your virgin emails appear in your gmail in box. I think I have this correct, it could be the other way round of course! It will even identify your virgin emails as opposed to new ones. Hope this helps, Any virgin email account is defunct after 90 days if you no longer have their broadband services, and they do not have an email only facility.

But won't that only work as long as the virgin mail account is live?

That option isn't migrating your virgin email account, just showing what's in it. Which, once you've moved away from Virgin, will be nothing.
