Thank You Orange For "Improving" My Broadband

I had an e-mail last week informing me that Orange would be carrying out work that would improve my broadband speed, great I thought.

My broadband speed has now been "improved", my connection has reduced by 1500 kbps and my download speed has reduced by 1Mbps. Thanks for that :(

Speed does seem to have picked up again after a few poor days. It now averages at 75% of the max BT wholesale acceptable range and 104% of the line profile. Pretty much back to where it was before the improvement. ;)

now molerat i think you are being ungrateful here, they have improved it for them that is probabely switched you from bt gear over to there own llu gear the improvement becomes they are not paying someone else there profits.
a good way to check this is use openreach checker

tap in you phone number, usually have to use postcode checker if you have had line moved over same happened with me when sky 'improved' my service just moved line and bb onto there own llu gear but speeds remained the same.

Orange don't have an LLU network, they abandoned that last year?

Everything has improved all of a sudden. Connection is highest it has ever been, upload speed has increased over double and is 102% of line profile and download is now 115% of the new higher line profile and above the highest BT "acceptable" rate.
Sorry for slagging you off orange
