How to get the best fibre-optic deal virgin?

Hi, I am looking to change from my talktalk phone and broadband package to a virgin fibre-optic broadband only deal. Basically I am looking for a faster connection and am fed up of paying for a phone line that I never use.

The cheapest deal I can find is the 30mb deal for £17.50 for the first 3 months then £22.50 for the next 9 months.

I just wanted to know if there is any negotiating room for new customers wishing to join virgin media or is it a waste of time even bothering?

I doubt you'll be able to negotiate but if you go through Quidco or TopCashBack there is usually a reasonable generous payment on offer.

If you do the sums you may well find it's better to take BB + phone and then ditch the phone after a year. Check cashbacks and whether or not the install is free when doing your calculations.

its usually existing customers that are in a better position to negotiate

you could always try and call them up, but most likely you wont get much better than what they are currently offer
