Plusnet 'Retention' Success!
I must have caught Plusnet in a good mood on Wednesday - called them up chancing my arm with the usual 'I can get broadband cheaper elsewhere' spiel and they have subsequently offered me an upgraded packaged (10gb to 60gb download limit) for £5.75/month instead of the £6.49/month I was paying for a worse package. Good…

plusnet usage - warning for bittorrent users!
Just got caught out by plusnet's charges for going over my broadband limit. In summary: beware of bittorrent use - even legal! I bought the latest humble bundle and as they're a charity I thought I'd use bittorrent to save their bandwidth ( yes that's legal :) ) It was the last day of the month and I'd just got an email…

O2 ISP - Old Deal vs New
I'm still on one of the older O2 broadband packages. I opted to stay on it and pay the extra for fear of my speed being slowed too much by traffic management that I would be useless (I get 3.5 - 4 meg max). I was with BT but found my speed go from 2.5 meg down to 0.5 meg rendering it pretty useless hence then change to O2.…

Looking for new ISP
I'm trying to find a new ISP and telephone provider (currently with O2) and I've searched the internet but every single one seems to have more bad than good reviews. I don't live in a particularly good area for speed and that is my main concern. I was with BT but over time the speed got so slow it was worse than dial up. I…

BT Infinity
I am thinking of switching to BT Infinity from Virgin however we are very heavy users of the internet. In my house we would have 2 video streaming (netflix) and maybe 2 sessions of Onlive (basically another video streaming thing) plus normal surfing and other connected devices. Is BT Infinity truely unlimited?

Need help renewing Virgin internet
Hi, I've been hanging off renewing my broadband hoping that at some point I'd get a call from Virgin trying to get a renewal out of me, yet to my surprise no luck. The idea was that they'd phone and i'd try and get a better deal. I'm currently on the 30mb (to be upgraded to 60mb) fibre deal, paying £30 p/m, although new…
