O2 ISP - Old Deal vs New
Options

I'm still on one of the older O2 broadband packages. I opted to stay on it and pay the extra for fear of my speed being slowed too much by traffic management that I would be useless (I get 3.5 - 4 meg max).
I was with BT but found my speed go from 2.5 meg down to 0.5 meg rendering it pretty useless hence then change to O2.
Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone here actually changed their O2 deal to one of the new traffic managed packages. What has been your experience of this? Has it significantly reduced your speed at peak times?
Thanks

When they changed their packages mine went up by £5 per month. I had the option to change to their new deals but I didnt want to as they advised my speed would be slowed down considerably at peak times (the only time I use the internet).
Retentions offered me a discount but only for 12 months, that was about 18 months ago. Each time I've contacted them since then I've only been offered cheaper deals if I sign for another 12 months which I have not wanted to do. They have refused to offer me any better deal without signing another contract.
I just want to know if anyone who transferred to the new deals found their service slowed down dramatically or not. I can then decide if I want to stay or try elsewhere.0 -
You are not being firm enough with O2 !
I am on an old up to 20 meg package and get 18.5 meg.
Every year for the last 3 years I have been given 6 months free !0
