bt total broadband

Options
my 18 month deal with bt broadband runs out at end july - am currently getting unlimited broadband and unlimited calls for £13/month - has anyone had any success in getting broadband deals renewed at same sort of rate as they had before their deal expired - would like to stay with bt as i'm tied into 12 month advanced line rental deal and will lose 6 month rental if i move elsewhere at beginning of august (most good deals eg talk talk seem to require you to move line rental) and i believe advanced line rental costs arent refunded if you move service (dont seem to be any good deals for broadband only)

  • I recently asked them what offers I could get, they were rubbish. Only when I arranged to leave did I get offers which were any good...but they can stick it ...I have found cheaper elsewhere

Were you happy with the service otherwise? Considering the current BT deals but not sure.

My 18 month deal ends in a couple of months. I have a great deal of £5 per month with free weekend calls so I doubt if they will match it when the contract ends. The BB has been great (apart from the 10gb limit) but the CS has been rubbish.

Because my exchange has only one LLU provider it looks like I will go with Plusnet. Talktalk has the best deal but their CS is dreadful!

the actual service has been fine - just been upgraded to adsl2+ as exchange recently went to 21cn and speeds and stability seem very good - only had one call to CS and as others state they were pretty hopeless/clueless - like iconic only one LLU at our exchange and they are talk talk who seem to be offering v cheap deal but have issues with CS - next door neighbour with zen who seem excellent but v expensive - might give BT a call and see what is offered
