3 mobile broadband problems

Options
Anyone else suffering problems?

Certain website for instance www.bbc.co.uk and any other bbc pages won't load.

Also this site doesn't seem to be loading, nor does Ebay and various others which are not major internet site.

Connection shows as great and some websites major and minor ones are loading. Even the page that opens by default when the modem connects doesn't connect.

Been like this since last night certainly in London.

Thanks Hick, it's always good to know that it isn't a specfic problem just affecting me.

Hopefully it will get sorted sooner rather than later.

Seems we certainly aren't the only ones with issues, looking at their Facebook and Twitter pages.
  • I have just posted on the Techie board about my problems, and now I see this.

It is such a relief to see that this is affecting other people, who have also blamed 3 and not Chrome or any of the other usual suspects.

I couldn't even load MSE this morning for a while!

  • Pages do eventually load if you persist, apart from one or two cases. It seems to be a timing problem.

Yes I have been having a huge problem with my mifi for the last three or four days, my signal strength is strong but it says there is a connection problem, a little exclamation mark appears on the signal symbol in the corner. It seems to come and go. This happens on my netbook, PC and OH's Macbook so I know it isn't an issue with our computers.
  • Mine has been working very well for more than one day now. Someone suggested that the network was overloaded because BT Broadband wasn't working in London and people used 3 instead. it certainly looked like a timing problem.

Certainly not National - my services are fine. Are you both located in the same region?
  • It appeared to be London only, but now all is well.

  • The problem is not only persisting but getting worse. Here on the Isle of Wight (on the south side, way away from the festival and the mud) we're getting constant drop outs and hours when we get a 'No Service' signal.
Worse though was the response from 3's technical people. If I could have understood what I was being told it would have been better, but for most of the time the Agent kept trying to pin the issue on our home hardware, despite our service, across two dongles and laptops having been previously stable for more than a year.

The best that 3 would offer was that someone would get back to me within '24 to 36 hours'.... now this is great if you have a landline and the mobile is a backup or for when you're travelling but for us here, the 3 service is our only connection. Am very unhappy at the 3 response and their lack of concern that you can't access the network that they are happy to bill you for!
