3 mobile broadband problems

I've had a free 3 mobile dongle for a couple of years and I haven't used all of the allowance because it's so hit and miss to make it not worthwhile.0

"No Service" is not quite what we had here in London: we just had a very slow service.
3 do work on their networks from time to time - sometimes they give the details on their website. I have found that problems usually resolve themselves after a day or two. I have prepaid SIMs, so if I can't get on I don't spend anything!Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

fozfcmc, how has your service been today? I have had to keep disconnecting and reconnecting manually.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

Sorry forgot about this thread. I only use the dongle when I'm night shift in work every 4 weeks and the problem was rectified for me the next day.
3 said they had found a fault and were working on it, expecting it to be fixed within 24 hours and thankfully it was.
The issue seemed to be affecting several areas, not just London.
As for 3 in general, well I normally don't have any issues, apart from occasionally the connection drops and I have to reconnect. That doesn't happen often and I can be connected for 3 or 4 hours at a time without issue.
Seems to be pretty fast and normally I'm very happy with the connection (watching plenty of youtube vids on it) and the cost is very good £15.99 for 15gb, don't think any other provider can touch it for value.0 -
Thanks foz for letting me know that it was a known problem - things have improved a lot now.
I agree that 3 mobile BB is a great deal on the whole. I use prepaid SIMs that I buy on eBay myself. This used to be the cheapest option but I am now considering the top-up as 1gb per month is not enough any more. I also have an E367 fast dongle, which improves the speed.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

Strangely on the 3 network today in work and no problems to report, so hopefully everything is fine now.0

Mine isn't as bad as the last time I posted but it still keeps dropping out from time to time, very annoying.
I'm in Kent although my IP address lists London.0
