Cheapest broadband internet access for use at more than one property.
I am currently on unmetered dial up with Tesco.net (£12.50 month) and have a Plusnet PAYG account. I would like to upgrade to broadband but have n't done so yet as I can set two CLI numbers with Tesco.net so I can use it in my second home as well as my main home. In the near future I will be buying run down properties to…

Internet phones
Tescos are doing an internet phone on pay as you go for just £7.48 and you get £5.00 calling credit. Its easy to set up and you get a choise of phone numbers. To call other Tescos internet users its free and to call landlines its only 2p a minute and Mobiles is only 10p a minute I think its a good cheap package

Broadband - No contract/no connection charges?
anyone know of a broadband supplier that doesn't charge a activation charge (usually £40+). I will be buying my own modem (I'm also worried about compatability issues if I buy my own???) I don't want a 12 month contract as I might be moving within the year and I would like the freedom of moving to another supplier if the…

Keeping a previous email address and changing to a new ISP
Hi all Sorry if this is in the wrong area, but it seemed the best one. I'm with virgin, paying £17.99 a month for 1.1Mb speed unlimited download, was previously on dial up with them, so my email is virgin.net as well, and has been for a long time. I use it for work, and would find it almost impossible to lose it. So: Sky…

Virgin media overcharging
Hi, help please! Initially we were on virgin.net bundle 3 (£9.99pcm for BB and virgin carrier pre select). Since VM have taken over they have been charging me £14.99pcm, they didn't think to tell me about this! Bundle 3 is no longer available through VM. I have only had this contract for a few months so I can't cancel. I…

New flat, broadband (asap)?
Hi all, I read the 'find the cheapest broadband' article, but I have a further hope/requirement which is that when I move into a rental property (in 2.5 weeks), I have broadband up-and-running as fast as possible after the move, preferably immediately or close to it. Can anyone give me some advice on what I can do to make…

A good broadband provider?
Hi, This is my first query I've posted on here, so please be gentle. After 6+ weeks since activation waiting for Orange to fix my line, I've given up hope of ever getting online with them and cancelled (see my other post at http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=454383) I'm sure trying to get anywhere with…

No active phone line although one was installed by former tenant - best option?
I am trying to sign up to internet in my new flat, which doesn't have a phone line active (although the previous tenants had one, which has been switched off). Am I right in thinking that signing up to Madasafish is the best idea, since I can then switch to talktalk, or if they can't provide a line then I can switch to a…

Cable cartel?
Hi, This is my first post so please be gentle with me! I've never had a fixed phone line because I'm not home often enough to merit the line rental, but accessing the internet using my old cellphone was painfully slow, so [several years ago] I was delighted when NTL posted a flyer offering a sparkling deal on broadband…

Where to move to?
I currently have BT Business Broadband provided by my workplace. I shall be finishing shortly, and so need to set up my own home connection. Currently have line rental and calls with Talk Talk, and I also have Sky TV. I like a fast conneciton, but downloads are minimal. Is there anyone who is prepared to let you pay each…

Compare prices of broadband, phone, & digital TV bundles
Broadband Internet UK Heard about this on Radio2 today it’s similar to Broadband Genie which compares the price of different broadband services based on factors including download speeds, length of minimum contract and free software supplied. However, Broadband Internet UK raises the bar by comparing not only standalone…

Newnet = Worst Isp Ever - Stay Well Away!!!
I had been a customer with newnet for 18 months. I had good service from them and apart from the stupidly high price hikes (to which I remained loyal) I thought they were a decent enough company. Recently I moved house and since I knew of this well in advance I enquired what their process was back in January. I was told…

Broadband with Sky Sports???
Is there a way to find out my cheapest option for broadband and Sky Sports I currently pay about £25 for broadband (since a long time ago, with OneTel) and the usual BT line rental (£11?) + calls. I just have Freeview at the moment and to be honest I only want Sky Sports on top of that. I've seen the offers for Sky and…

BT £40 to downgrade broadband package!
Just received an email from BT as our broadband contract is up for renewal next month. We were contemplating moving from option 3 to option 2 or 1 but they stated that to move to a lower option they would charge £40!! I am not happy - cant believe they would do that, surely they want to keep their customers!!
