Where to move to?

I currently have BT Business Broadband provided by my workplace. I shall be finishing shortly, and so need to set up my own home connection. Currently have line rental and calls with Talk Talk, and I also have Sky TV. I like a fast conneciton, but downloads are minimal.

Is there anyone who is prepared to let you pay each month for 12 months, but let you "take a holiday" if you are away from home for long periods?

My thought process would be just to upgrade to the "free" Talk Talk package, but is this the best option?

  • You can keep your free TalkTalk package but you're strongly advised not to get broadband from TalkTalk. There are an awful lot of unhappy TalkTalk broadband customers out there. (See links below)

Since you already have Sky, if you can get the Base, Mid or Max package, the cheapest option for you would be to get Sky Broadband, for which you would pay either nothing, £5 or £10 (depending on the package you choose).

Check Sky Broadband availability in your area

Opinions as to how good/bad the Sky Broadband service is are quite divided, so you should do your own research before committing to Sky. See the threads about Sky Broadband on this forum.

If you decide against going with Sky, the Entanet resellers (UKFSN, ADSL24, etc.), Zen and IDNet are all highly rated.
