Heard about this on Radio2 today it’s similar to Broadband Genie which compares the price of different broadband services based on factors including download speeds, length of minimum contract and free software supplied. However, Broadband Internet UK raises the bar by comparing not only standalone broadband packages, but also bundle deals which combine broadband, phone, TV, and mobile for one monthly fee.

The site is independent and offers extensive reviews of different providers as well as beginner’s guides to broadband and to switching service providers.

First glances found a glaring error - maybe BE don't pay them enough commission??

eg.They say that BE lite has just 1g included download, when the truth is they include 4.

I tried this site for combined broadband and telephone. It said I could get the Talk Talk £20 package, which I can't, and does not list DST (Direct Save Telecom) at all who are available and very competitive at under £30 including line rental

I have just checked this, and the site says that the Talk Talk package is subject to availability and a additional broadband service maybe offered at an additional charge of £15 per month. This is correct when I have previously checked with talk talk.

Also, looks like the BE broadband error has been corrected.

All in all it looks like a very good site to compare broadband packages and bundle deals (I have not yet found another site that does this yet).

But you miss the point we are making - this is supposed to be a professional site - getting commission when anyone uses its links to sign up.

Yet there are some glaring "mistakes" - not very reassuring that we will get accurate info if we go there.

I am also wondering whether "unlimited" effectively means that anymore with fair usage policies. I am looking at moving away from bulldog (the worst provider ever) and found the UKOnline service at £9.99 a month which would suit me fine. Only problem is I do do quite a bit of downloading and UKOnline do not reveal how much they consider as breaching fair usage policy. At least I never had this sort of problem with bulldog anyway. I guess I'll have to look into paying more for a "true" "unlimited" service.

I got a reply today from Broadband Internet UK who say they have rectified the error.
