Madasafish Broadband Provider
I just wanted to vent a little on the subject of Madasafish broadband. They advertise their broadband service to new customers as being 11.99 per month (all well and good so far) but then, when you fill in your application, you get a not insubstantial 5.10 P&P charge plus VAT on top. Now yes, I hear what you're going to…

Broadband for Mac user - help!
I've got an Emac 10.4 OSX I'm currently with Wanadoo, using a D-Link modem via my ethernet port. Unfortunately I had a powercut a few weeks ago, and it appears to have blown up the ethernet port on my Mac - so no internet connection. I then bought a Netgear modem that worked on either ethernet or USB, was meant to be Mac…

Plusnet is the worst provider. stay clear
Wow, what an ISP, I have never seen such craziness. I'm unfortunatly a plusnet customer. Upon registering with them a few months ago, realising we may leave our current house, I personally called them and asked outright what are the consequences of us stopping the service. They happily said that we would be fined £72 ,…

Virgin Vs Tiscali
Have been reading Martins book and looking to reduce the cost of phone calls (going up over the last few bills) I am currently on Plan 3 with Virgin at the moment paying £14.99 for the 512K service with 3Gb Cap per month. I am looking to switch to Tiscali on their Up to 1Mb Broadband and free weekend calls package again…

Are you an existing BT broadband customer and would like to go wireless?
Don't pay £70 for a wireless router. Phone up BT and you can get a BT Voyager 2091 wireless router for £10. OK, it's not as good as a netgear router, but it's straight forward to use, and for £10 you can't go wrong. Merry Christmas. :xmastree:

Switching ADSL ISP
I would like to switch my ADSL ISP. However, if I do so, will there be a gap in the broadband services I receive? Currently, a 14-day period is normally required for an ISP to set up an account. If I switch my ISP, will there be a 14-day gap between the day when my old ISP closes my account and the day when services are…
