Free upgrade to NTL 10 meg Broadband?

Got a letter from NTL the other basically meithering me to upgrade from 1meg Broadband, which I have at the moment, onto a combined service of Broadband, Telephone and TV.
Anyway in the letter it mentioned that next year, didn't say when, NTL will be upgrading broadband customers upto a 10 meg package for free, anyone heard anything about this, it would be great but it seems a bit far fetched to me.

Here is the original press release: ntl unveils strategy for next generation broadband. ntl will be differentiating their different products by download limit, not by connection speed. It doesn’t really matter that much to their finances and infrastructure, if you download quickly, so long as you don’t download a lot.古池や蛙飛込む水の音0
