surprise HB and CTB
After talking to 2 people at our council benefits dept i was somewhat surprised to be told that as long as you get income support(even 1p)you qualify for full HB and full CTB,regardless of how much savings you have between £6000 and £16000,has anyone else had experience of this?

Tax credits has anyone written to change circumstances
Basically I always call as it gets done straightaway. How long would changes take If I wrote to them instead and as it's child care do I need to send any proof with the letter? Thanks I won't write if it takes weeks but if it's quick I could send letter now as changes are for in 2 weeks time Or is it too soon
