Making changes to tax credits awards

When can I call them to tell them my childcare provider is changing ? I know they are busy doing renewals at moment.

I change child care provider 8th august and costs Re increasing for 4 weeks then reducing after

Do I do
It now or wait till 8th august

when i called to change mine they said they cannot make changes in advance as it could affect payments made until the date of change so ring them back on the day the changes come into affect, hope his makes sense
