Tax credits has anyone written to change circumstances

Basically I always call as it gets done straightaway. How long would changes take If I wrote to them instead and as it's child care do I need to send any proof with the letter?

Thanks I won't write if it takes weeks but if it's quick I could send letter now as changes are for in 2 weeks time Or is it too soon

It's too soon and TCO will not add it straight away to your claim until they have verified your claim with the childcare provider.

If you write then it will probably be about 3 weeks before the letter is actioned. Far better to call them directly.

  • Thanks for your reply - I will ca the day it happens. I guess they are checking all claims now and that it may take longer to update.
