JSA query and Direct Telephone number

What is the direct number to JobCentre Plus in Basingstoke?

I tried the 0845 switch board number so many times, never manage to get to my local JobCentre .

Basically Back in June there was the JSA review form I filled, then they asked for my bank statements to send back to Peterborough ( Odd though cos my local jobcentre is in Basingstoke) I sent all of them and today another letter came from Southampton asking for bank statements again:mad::mad:.

This caused me 2 payments has been held which is a month of JSA.

Would I be able to reclaimed those 4 weeks, because I still sign-on in time and attended every interviews.

You don't need to call your Jobcentre - you need to call the Benefits Centre, the people who process your claim etc. The number should be stamped or written on the front of your signing on book. If not, you can find it here http://los.direct.gov.uk/default.aspx?type=2&lang=en

Your Jobcentre won't really be able to help you, and will just direct you to the correct Benefit Centre anyway.

They'll pay you everything you're due once they get the correct information.

Pay no attention to where you send this info, work gets moved around the country quite a lot to speed up processing so even though your local processing centre is probably Southampton, Peterborough may well have been taking some work from them if they had a backlog.

If it's just a review then your money would not normally be stopped. There could be another issue with your claim. You'll need to speak to the Contact Centre, number will be on any correspondence they send out. You cannot speak to the Benefit Centre directly unless the contact centre book a call back. They only do that if they cannot answer your question or it's a processing problem.

Presumably they wanted you to send the bank statements to Southampton which would explain why they sent you out a duplicate letter.
