Hi, I have an appointment to go bankrupt in 2 weeks but have been served a default notice on a credit card for £77. Is it worth paying this off before my bankruptcy? Surprised By BR Reported In Local Paper!
A friend has just 'phoned me to register her surprise at seeing my bankruptcy notice in the local paper last Wednesday! I was surprised too because, although I knew it would happen some time, I thought that the OR would at least have the decency to give me prior warning. Shouldn't I have been told about this in advance?

Compensation payment
I am discharged from bankruptcy in April this year. I also have two years left on my income payment. Recently had a car accident, not my fault. They are offering me compensation for whiplash. Do I have to declare this to OR, do I get to keep the money? Thanks

My official notice came in the post today! :j Waiting on OH's. He had the papers applying about 2 weeks after I had mine but nothing since. He has a Nil Tax Code IPA and we're waiting to hear the outcome of us disputing a Disposable Income one too so both could be holding his up I assume.
