Or interview now over

PHEW!!!!

Have to say, it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be...although they are taking my car as it is my ONLY asset!!

The OR did say that if i could convince one of my family members to buy my car off me for £1,000 which is what it is worth, then i could keep it! These of course would be the family members that know nothing about me going BR, and also live in a different country!! Hmmm, my husband, who obviously knows, is thinking about buying it from me....which would be great but then i feel crap about that coz he bought it for me in the first place!!

Still, onwards and upwards!! Yay that the OR has called and it wasn't bad :T and boo that hubby has to buy my car again!!

Feeling a huuge sense of relief washing over me and just wanted to share with you all!!

Am now getting ready to go out to open a new bank account and have lunch with a friend! hurrah...

I'm pleased that it went OK.:D

Shame about the car though. But the important thing is that you can now be positive about the future. :)

Not really needed but kinda handy to have!! Have someone coming to view it tomorrow to tell me how much they think it is worth and if not too much then hubby will buy it for me...but not sure if we have to hand over the cash immediately or if they will give us a couple of weeks to get the money together! Could be my xmas pressie!

    Hi meech,

Pleased it's all done and dusted.

Don't forget the art of negotiation; tell your O.R that it's only been valued at £800 and the best offer you've got is £500. You'd probably end up doing a deal at £750 and your hubby could buy you something else for Christmas.:D :D

  • Had my interview Monday.

The OR, a lady, was most charming. She would not even entertain taking my car because I need it to get to and from work.

Ah see Julian, my work is at home so no real need for my car...well, unless the lo needs to go to the hospital!!

Richard thanks for the advice, will see where i get with negotiating....seeing that i was in sales, i may well get away with it.....or i could go with the blonde bimbo thang!!

Cheers for your support guys, it means a lot!!

    Hi meech,

As with anything in life there's more than one way to achieve the same end result; if your sales skills don't work go for the bimbo approach.

Our interview was always going to be a nightmare, and if my negotiation skills didn't work; plan B was for my O.H to be a "distraction". When the going got tough and I needed a break, she completely unfocused his "determined little mind".:o :o:D "In the best possible taste" of course.:D
