Cost of dental implants
I want to replace 1-6 molars depending on price. Lots of providers don’t give figures without an initial consultation (this often has to be paid for, which makes just shopping around expensive). Does anyone have any specific or general recommendations from experience? Prices in the UK seem to be around £2500 for a single…

Varifocal specifications
I have reached that age where I need reading glasses. The optician recommends varifocals, but I'm strugging to understand the differences between the different types. Specsavers use terms like "wider field of clear vision", "a wide field of clear vision" and "our widest field of clear vision". Glasses Direct say "enhance…

Any other options for getting MRI, when local GP has said they are not available in this area?
Hi, Long story short, my dad's Parkinson's nurse said he should ask his GP to send him for an MRI of his lumbar spine. His GP this week has said he's very sorry, but that in this geographical area, the GPs are not allowed to send for MRI lumbar spine scans. MRI scans of other body parts they can request, but not lumbar…

Can't seem to relax or get a good night's sleep
I have always had trouble sleeping. I actually sleep with blackouts, eye mask, earplugs, and hate to be disturbed or stirred. I wake up around 4 am but can't sleep further so end up thinking things over and getting up very tired. I feel lethargic during the day. Has anyone had this problem and how did you deal with it?

Costs for more NHS treatment after filling

Smile Direct Club Ceases Trading
I don't recall anything on this Forum about Smile Club Direct - so I'm hoping most visitors here were too sensible to use them. The shop sites they occupied have all closed suddenly though, and those people under active treatment have basically been left high and dry. The FAQ page that has appeared on their website is…
