Hi @beanielou - have put a link in the old thread as there didn't seem to be one - hope you don't mind.

Morning all,  a bit cooler today but still warm enough for wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

Have been shopping and bought even more fruit, yoghurt and bread.  At least all the bits I need are now in the pantry, fridge or freezer so that should be it until the end of the week.

    Today's plan:

    B - bacon and tomato sandwich - HEB; P; S
    L - egg, chips, mushrooms, tomatoes - P; S; F
D - LO spicy butternut squash traybake with chicken -  (need to cook the chicken as didn't have originally but DH moaned about lack of meat!) P; S

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

Thanks for the new thread @beanielou. 😊

I think most of the holidays are over and all the excesses they can bring . I don't think anyone enjoys being weighed down (literally and metaphorically) by excess pounds. It's a good time to make a fresh start. 😁

I read an interesting article this morning (will post a link later if I can). The gist of it was not to be afraid of carbs and that pasta can be part of a healthy eating plan, especially if you go for sauces that aren't full of cream and the like. This was from university research. Who'd have thought it! 🤣 That's one of the (many) excellent things about Slimming World, it's filling proper food and no need to go hungry. 👍

I'm busy most evenings this week so have to prep meals that are quick and/or can be reheated quickly.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB porridge, berries (S), banana (F), HEA milk
    L- ham, egg (P), veg hash and pickles (S), 1 potato (F)
    D- sausage casserole (P, S, F ), penne (F)
    Syns - Aldi sausages 1
  • Hello - good to meet you all.  I have read the SW threads in the past but not contributed.  I lost 24lb between Nov last year and March this year and set my goal weight.  I’m not a skinny bean but was comfortable with that.  Since then I’ve stayed within target but crept towards the top of it.  I’ve now decided to try and get to the bottom of target by November.  Potential issues for me are always socialising and drinking.  Wish me luck 😊

Thank you for the new thread @beanielou, well done and belated birthday greetings to @Coxy11.

Haven't posted for a while as not much happening here, plodding along trying to stay at target whilst enjoying some off plan treats,  keeping up with the walking which involved early morning and late evening outings, golly it is getting dark so early now.  OH has been following my example a little (encouraged by a wee bit of nagging from me) and lost 3-4 pounds of his excess chub.

WI tonight (still going weekly as need to be accountable still and enjoy the social side), then not again for a couple of weeks as away in Lancs and the Lake District (will WI again in 2 weeks as meeting is held just around the corner from site, and it will give OH and me a little break from each other, not really necessary, but the evenings will be shorter and dark - not much space to do own thing.  Lancs site in a dark forrest area and lights on site will be minimal, fingers crossed for clear skies.

Thank you for all your support, everyone has been so helpful in getting me started into SW. x

Welcome @shirleytch. Well done of staying within target range since March.  Good luck with getting back to bottom end by November, it's certainly doable if you stick with it.

There are plenty of us on here who also socialise and drink so you will be in good company.

    Welcome to our lovely thread.
    Keep posting
You can get to the bottom of target by November no problem.
    That's less than a lb a week  :)
