A pain in the PLUMs
On MSE recommendation I started a PLUM Cash ISA. No real issues, other than the usual digital format over-optioned click fest app (no I don't want this app to be the conduit of my life with various add ons and options - just want to save money get interest end off). The issue is now - trying to transfer the ISA out. As it…

Reeves' ISA review
Will be interesting to see what comes of this. Potentially restricting the amount of cash one can hold in an ISA or reducing the cash ISA allowance to just £4k. I think its important to try demystify some of the (often incorrect) concerns about investing, so that these potential change(s) actually encourage more people to…

Cash ISAs: The Best Currently Available List
Cash ISAs: The Best Currently Available List **Please note: The list of ISAs I have compiled below is continually updated. New ISAs are added as they launch and withdrawn ISAs will be removed from the list. ** The current Cash ISA limit is £20,000 for the 2025/26 tax year. **As with any financial product, before opening an…

Moneybox ISA rates
I opened a Moneybox Open Access Cash ISA a couple of months ago with an intro offer of 4% base rate with 0.82% bonus for a year. since then the base rate dropped to 3.75%, which is what still shows on my account. However looking at the current offer Moneybox seems to have a base rate of 3.95% with a 0.7% bonus, giving a…

(New) CMC Invest - Flexible Cash ISA - 4.85% (allows transfers)
Good morning, Forgive me but this appears new and has started just this morning appearing in my targeted ads. CMC Invest appear to have boosted their Flexible (+ allowing transfers) Cash ISA to 4.85%. This appears to have been a previous rate, but I'm not clear if it was cut and then has now boosted back up. Perhaps…

Plum ISA - confused about interest
I opened a PLUM ISA on April 07th at a preferential rate of 5.92% for three months on the advice of MSE, with a note in the diary to ditch and switch after the increased rate expired. However, I've just logged in to see how things are looking there, and have discovered that: * The interest accrued is only about £80 for two…

Quick query
I transferred funds from an old ISA into a new ISA. The funds transferred are made up of £10,000 from 24/25 and £2,000 from 25/26. Presumably I have £18,000 left to deposit in a ISA for 25/26?

Never understood it
I would love to start an ISA but have no idea how to do so and what benefits I get from this. Where is the best place to open an ISA where I'm getting the most out of it? How much realistically can be made from it for the future?

Im currenty with Trading212 and considering alternatives ,its a slight improvement over thier 4.1% but being a ford money…

Increase pension or Stocks and shares ISA?
I'm 58 and don't have much of a pension tbh - maybe 12 years worth of company pension at say, £130 (ers and ees) premium a month. So it's there but the bare minimum. I have disposable cash due to a new job and would like to save a regular amount for maybe, 5 years. Would I be better opening a low risk stocks and shares isa…

ISA transfer funds issue
I have a matured fixed ISA with Shawbrook Bank, which has now been moved by them to an easy access ISA. I completed the ISA transfer online form with Virgin. Three times now it has been rejected by Shawbrook Bank with the reason that the funds are current year and not previous year monies? On the Virgin online form there…

Shawbrook Bank are a complete shower!
I've been trying to transfer my matured ISA from Shawbrook to another bank for over a month now. Despite me filling the forms in correctly, requesting old monies only, my transfer request has now been refused around 5 times because they say I'm trying to transfer the current tax year's allowance! I'm at the end of my…

Can't transfer ISA from Monument Bank to Castle Trust Bank
Has anyone else had issues transferring their ISA from Monument or to Castle Trust? Both me and my husband are having issues and both banks are blaming each other. Castle Trust are saying that Monument keep rejecting the transfer request and Monument are saying that they have not received any requests. I don't know who to…

Query re bereavement and ISA allowances please
My wife, who passed away from cancer just under 3 weeks ago, had a range of Stocks & Shares and Cash ISAs from a variety of providers from previous tax years but had not contributed to a new ISA this tax year. I think I more or less understand the regulations affecting 'Additional Permitted Subscriptions' but would welcome…

Higher rate taxpayer husband putting savings into wifes account
Hello. As Above. Some of the family are in that situation, IE, our son's work and are higher rate taxpayers and their wives have not worked for years. One pays 45% paye and other pays 45% paye and I think savings at higher rates over 500 pounds attracts 40% tax.

What ISA post Chip bonus rate?
I used my 2025/26 ISA allowance to put 20k into Chip's ISA and now the rate is about to drop to 4.06%, so I'm looking for alternatives. I already have a Trading 212 ISA at 4.3% so transferring the cash into there is an option. However, I'm looking at two other options with a fixed or much higher rate: * Cynergy Bank 4.35%…

JISA after 18
Hi I've been saving into an S&S JISA (originally a CTF) for the last 18 years or so in Charles Stanley Direct, and then a few weeks ago the account disappeared from my app. Of course, he had turned 18. Trouble is I wasn't going to give him the account until he turned 21. So I rang CS but they explained the account was now…

Lloyds & my daughter's JISA money
I know the title sounds far fetched but this is true and I don’t know what to do. I opened a JISA for my daughter in 2016. At the time we lived in the UK. We moved to Australia in 2020 and left the account dormant. My daughter has turned 18. She wrote to Lloyds asking to close the account and transfer the funds to her…
