Buying a flat with a Section 20 notice on it
Would you put in an offer on a leasehold flat which needs some work being dated and also has a section 20 notice on it to do about 10k worth of work to the building? To be fair the estate agent is being upfront about this which I appreciate.

tenants in common or joint tenants?
I advised my son and DIL to change their house ownership from joint tenants to tenants in common, thinking of possible future care fees. they have two almost grown sons who would inherit from each. I'm now wondering how this affects CGT as the sons will no doubt leave home at which point CGT will kick in. can they mitigate…

I’m currently in a Housing Association flat. I am looking to swap with another flat on the ground floor/basement flat. I have never lived on the ground floor before. Should I give up my name on the deeds?
My mum died a few years ago and left her half of the house in my name and the other half belonging to my stepdad. My stepdad wants to take equity release but to do so would need my name taking off the deeds (I don’t live there). This would mean trusting him to ensure that the house is split when he dies. I trust him…

Does Home buyer protection insurance cover if my buyer pulls out?

I sold my property (SoldSTC) and I got my offer accepted to…
