Please vote for the Dystonia society
    www.dystonia.org.uk
This is a very painful movement disorder affecting something over 40,000 people in UK. Support is difficult to find as not many people know about this condition and we are looking for funding for research programmes & to raise awareness & fund specialist nurses at clinics throughout Britain.
    thank you bomby

    c: Saving babies' lives
d: 2 babies a day affected by GBS, 70 babies a year die and 12 babies a week can be left with mental or physical disabilities. 80% of these infections preventable. Small national charity, funded entirely by supporters, run on shoestring who needs all the help (& publicity) it can get.
Provide telephone support to affected families, supply leaflets/posters free to midwives, GP's and specialists; campaigns for every woman in the UK to be given accurate information about GBS as a routine part of her antenatal care and offered sensitive test for GBS on the NHS.
My nephew was killed by GBS and help should be given to stop another familiy needlessly suffering the trauma of watching their baby die or nearly die and then having to live with that the rest of their lives.

ichtyosis is a terrible skin condition with no cure, there is no government money made available for research.

babies born with this condition have to be creamed at least every four hours, there abitity to crawl etc is impeded as their skin is tight and also any little scratch or cut could cause blood poisoning as the antibodies do not work to protect the, Everyday life is difficult and it is very stressful for patient and parents alike, it is very time consuming and severe restrictions on everyday life.

please help this charity as it gets so little publicity and support
  • A.S.C.A's website is https://www.addictionsupport.org.uk. Centre for people with drink/drug issues. A.S.C.A should be supported as it is much needed in the area's it covers and faces potential closure. It has a great staff, a fantastic ethos- and supports men and women, young and old from all facets of society. A.S.C.A has fought many battles on behalf of it's clients- and needs help. I know what it is like to have someone in the family with this problem, my late briother was an alcoholic- someone with these problems affects (one way or the other) ten other people- and we all need as much support as possible.

I would like to nominate VOICE UK (www.voiceuk.org.uk), a national (though numerically small) organisation that supports vulnerable people who have been victims of abuse.

I think that some of the bigger national charities are more than adequately funded whereas some of the smaller one do exceptionally valuable work which is underfunded.

    Thanks in anticipation of consideration

Discount vouchers are not a prize but a marketing tool. IMHO.
  • Raising awareness of bowel cancer symptoms

    www.beatingbowelcancer.org

Beating Bowel Cancer is a National Charity working to raise awareness of symptoms, promote early diagnosis and encourage open access to treatment choice for those affected by bowel cancer.

Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in the U.K. it affects 1 in 18 people (35,000 annually) and 50 people a day die from it(16,000 annually)

Yet over 50% of the population are unaware of it or the symptoms however if caught early is one of the most curable cancers.

My wife died from bowel cancer after 6 months of been mis-diagnosed and only when discovered it had spread and was uncurable at that stage.

Please vote to stop more people dying uneccessarily

I would like to nominate the Liverpool Taxi Drivers Children in Care Outing Fund.

    http://www.ltd-cicof.org.uk/

Giving a bit of happiness to kids in care.

I have been involved with the LTDCICOF for a couple of years now, and always love the faces on the kids when taxis loaded with balloons arrive and whisk them off to Camelot theme park.

Next year is a trip to Disneyland Paris for under 10's who are in social services care or foster care. These kids don't have much to look forward to in life but we like to give them a little.
just passing through.... Nothing to see....

    2. No web site but RC Nbr : 266330
    3. Specialist playgroud for babies-5's with additional needs
    4. We're looking for funding to help with running costs, but mainly to help replace our outdoor play facilities. These are old and not suitable for the ages and abilities of the children using them. but the children that we have love playing outdoors, listening to the sounds and smelling the smells. We help support children and their families, providing a few hours of respite as we're also an Ofted registered creche.

    Many thanks
