I suggest this non-political (and certainly not a comment on the rights or wrongs of any particular conflict) charity that provides support and rehab for those special and brave people who volunteer to serve their country. Charity No 1120920 www.helpforheroes.org.uk/0

I work as the Trusts Officer for this wonderful charity.
Aims- To take lives back from Leukaemia.
Every 20 minutes a UK patient is diagnosed with Leukaemia (which is still the biggest childhood killer), or a related illness. The Anthony Nolan Trust directly saves the lives of hundreds of patients every year by maintaining and continuously enlarging the UK’s largest and most successful register of volunteers willing to donate their bone marrow to patients worldwide.
With over 1000 new requests for transplants every year in the UK alone and over 16000 waiting for a match worldwide, sadly we are only able to help a small proportion of people that need us. There are currently 390,000 people on the bone marrow register and it’s not enough!
It costs £125 to Recruit, Type and maintain a donor on the register. We desperately need young males 18-40 to join the register and particularily those from ethnic minorities. So please join the register and vote for crucial funding for us.
Many thanks

:j a. Neonatal unit SCBU Warrington Hospital
b. http://www.northcheshirehospitals.nhs.uk/
http://www.babycentre.co.uk/baby/prembaby/scbu/#2
c. care for newborn babies who are ill or born prematurely
d. The funds go a long way in making the parents feel more 'normal' whilst their babies are in hospital, little things like mothers day and easter cards, a stock of tiny baby clothes for use on the ward as well as the odd incubator or two. There are so many more premature babies given a chance in life today because of the special care received from not just Warrington SCBU unit but all the other units throughout the country. I am nominating Warrington SCBU for pesonal reasons, My grandaughter was born 14 weeks and 2 days early and has spent the first 16 weeks of her life in SCBU, she is coming home today. Please help me to show my apreciation by voting for this cause. :smileyhea0 -

TinyLife is Northern Ireland's only premature baby charity.
TinyLife is Northern Ireland's premature and vulnerable baby charity dedicated to reducing premature birth, illness, disability and death in babies.
TinyLife is committed to ensuring that all families who have experienced the birth of a baby requiring special or intensive care get all the help they need. Last year TinyLife supported 758 families by offering practical and emotional support through its Family Support Programme, Breast Pump Loan Service, research into premature birth, disability and death in babies and providing an Education Programme for Health Professionals and Parents. Charity - RNLI, Royal National Lifeboat Institute
Web: http://www.rnli.org.uk
RNLI is dedicated to saving lives at sea
The RNLI aims to save lives by changing attitudes and behaviour among people who use the sea regularly. Their lifeguards patrol more than 70 beaches in the UK in peak season and assisted more than 10,000 people last year. Their RNLI lifeboats rescued more than 8,000 people last year, an average of 22 people per day. To go on saving lives at sea means training and equipping volunteer crews. The RNLI is wholly supported by charitable donations, and needs funding to continue saving lives at sea.0 -
Young Enterprise London www.yelondon.com is a UK registered charity, led by business to help promote and develop entrepreneurship in schools.
Our aim is to use enterprise and entrepreneurship training to help socially disadvantaged children develop positive ‘can do’ attitudes to improve their life prospects and increase their motivation and attainment in school.
We are asking funding for a programme called Personal Economics. PE has been recently developed to improve the financial capability and literacy of young people aged 12-16. This programme provides students with an understanding of personal finance, credit & debt, savings and investments and budgets
Our activities also help bridge the gap between school and business environment helping young people become aware of the value of education and how it links with future life prospects and the economics of staying in school.0
