I am new on here to posting but I have read your original posting and I just wanted to send you a big hug and some strength and patience. Big decissions are ahead of you and you will need the support offered here, so you take it. So many of us in life have to encounter times when we just rather not face and many of us being Mums stay in the hope its the right thing, leave as its the right thing and then feel guilty. You choose your path and tread with care, it takes courage.
My dearest friend is about to take a similar path soon.
I leave my thoughts with you.0 -
Hi Destiny,
Just found your thread, and I would like to applaud you for your courage, and love and devotion to your children!
I can't begin to imagine what you have all gone through/are going through, but I am sure with someone as strong as you to look up to, those children of yours will be just as strong and full of determination in years to come too!
I'm a mum of 3, so know how tough it can be.........stay strong!
I'm in Manchester if you need anything at all.
love

Can anyne out there help me please? dont know what to do or where to go from here, I was assaulted on Monday night by my husband who hit me in the mouth knocking me backwards on to a sofa, while telling me he would 'F---ing kill me', the worst part of it all though was he woke up my 13 year old daughter who came downstairs and witnessed it, she is completley traumatised and cant bear to be in the same house as him, I called the police and he was taken away to stay with his brother for the night, he returned on Tuesday morning and has been here since, we are both terrified of him and want him to stay away from us, I have an appointment with a solicitor on Tuesday morning and she does a Legal aid service as I dont work, What can I do, any ideas?0

Why is he back? Are you pressing charges? The police should have bailed him to stay away from the property. Have you spoken to them? Is it possible he has come back to the house in breach of bail conditions? If that is the case, you can ask the police to come and arrest him and they will deal with him which will at least leave you a bit safer.
Your solicitor can apply for an injunction for you but you now have the difficulty that more than a week has passed since the incident and he has been staying in the house again without any further violence. This will make it unlikely you will be allowed to apply for an ex parte order (without giving him notice) so you will have to make an application "on notice" which means he will have to be served with the papers giving him 48 hours notice of an impending court hearing. Is this going to put you at risk?
Do you have a local women's group that could help with finding you a refuge?0 -
caroleann (((hug))) hun. firstly, do you own your house? is it rented, if so in whos names? is there anyone you could go and stay with temporarily?...if you had to?
i was married to a violent man and eventually left, but i had to change my name and move away with the children to get away.
is your daughter his child?
please, please put your and your childs safety first before anything else
