Been up for a couple of hours which is most unlike me but havent actually done a great deal so may as well have stayed in my bed:D

Went out for dinner with one of my friends last night and after a bottle of wine we decided to book a holiday  so the upshot is I am off to a gorgeous 5 star hotel in Egypt next Saturday for a ridiculously low price:T

Working from home again today mostly just adminy stuff again so I guess I will be spending far too much time on MSE :o

I may check this fly lady stuff out cos the office is not good at the moment.

Now have a nice clean double sink after spending an hour last night with bleach etc and soda crystals!

DD asked this morning crossly why stuff in the fridge was not cold!!

Reply by DH "Someone left the fridge door open last night!";)

Dishwasher is on and I have sold a book through Amazon! Cannot find it!!!

Have decided not to panic and look slowly and carefully after my shower and shampoo.

DH's friend is coming today to help us spruce up my Dad's flat ready for sale so it looks as if we will be busy. I also see the probate office next Tuesday and take DD back to uni on Monday!

No idea what to do for tea as we will be racing around.

    Big hugs to everybody.

    Morning All

Had a terrible night, hubby couldn't sleep so got up at 1.30 & started messing around outside with his moth trap (don't ask!) which woke Spud up who woke me up.......Hubby finally came back to bed at 2.30 just as I was dropping off to sleep again...so woke me up. Spud kicked off at 5.30 so hubby got up to go & see what was in his blasted moth trap then came back to bed an hour later & woke me up to tell me he had done his back in! Finally got rid of him & his bad back to work & got almost an hours kip....had to get up 'cos I've got to take Spud to baby signs this morning.

To cap it all it's poured with rain so my washing is soaked (nappies), the fuse has blown in the WM & I can't find the spares & the bag of meat I got out of the freezer last night for tomorrows SC dinner turns out to be dog bones. Arrrggghhhhhhhhhh..........

The only bright spot on my horizon is meeting Purple Princess & Bargain Rzl & Paw Paws for a picnic tomorrow in Eastbourne (hoping my hummus is upto their high standards). Anyone wants to join us you would be very welcome.

Will try to post back later when I am either in a better mood or have at least acheived something today!

  • Good morning, everyone.

Jo, to answer your question from yesterday's daily about vegan slow cooking, I got a slow cooker yesterday. As a veggie I'm busy looking through for ideas. I'll either post them on a thread or pm you with what I can scrabble together. So far soup is a clear winner on the ideas front.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.
