    Afternoon everyone.
Foreverskint - Great big round of applause from me:T :T :T

Well - can't remember exactly what I said when I last posted.

Ordered SC (used the LX direct code and got it for 6.99 thanks thriftlady (if it wasn't you, apologies )) I had nearly bought the tefal 3in1 for £35 - so you saved me a wodge! Old me would have spent the "saved money" on myself - new me won't, it'll help DDs winter wardrobe. Maybe I should do an OS diary similar to the DFW diaries to track my OS progress. Then again - maybe not.

Couldn't sleep last night so did my Ironing at 4:00 this morning. Tamasin Day Lewis was on UKFood and cooked purple and red potatoes in an outside oven made of earth. The cooking method really was Old Style! Kind of prehistoric. And I'd love to get hold of those potatoes but Devon's a bit far for a shopping trip.

DH hasn't been well since coming back from his work trip - has saved loads 'cos all the food I'd planned to defrost for dinner is still in the freezer. It'll do for next week (good job with the way the grocery challenge has gone).

Unfortunately this means I might not get to use SC until october. AAArrgghh! May have to enlist it to make porridge -off i trundle to the SC board again. Some big bouncer is going to come and evict me from there soon - I spend so much time lurking.

edited to say -- oooh oooh look - this is post number 50!

  • afternoon all!

got lots & lots of washing done today. Have huge amounts of ironing now. UUg!

Decorator has finished :D Just need him to take his last few bits & the plumber to put the radiator back on tomorrow & we will be sorted.

Till the carpets come on Tuesday, will have to empty the rooms again 8) Oh & remove the old carpets.

I am so exhausted. I had last week (fri, sat, sun & mon) off work with a doctors note. I am seriously contemplating not going in tomorrow. I am absolutly exhausted & my GP will be there tomorrow. I want to go & tell her my reasearch into the manic depression. But if I don't go to work it looks bad cos I am currently trying to change my hours to only week days & also I have an interview tomorrow morning at 9.30 re a job in a different department. I don't actually want the job though....

Made spag bol so better go & put the spag on now for the kids. Think I will have a baked spud with cheese & beans.

Oh I laughed in the supermarket the other day. You can buy tins of cheesy beans. Cos its obviously very difficult to grate some cheese in a tin of normal beans.....

    Hi all

Sorry haven't read thread through yet but wanted to say hi.

Busy day at work DD in my bed asleep as feels poorly.

For tea I am finishing making the hm chicken nuggets and home made oven chips (DD's fav) only managed 1 lot of washing but hope to get a few bits done tonight.

Anyone got any tips for cleaning wooden floors cheaply/old style?? Should I really be posting this in a seperate thread??

Sorry if I have broken the rules, someone just let me know and I will start a new thread.

    Thanks
  • A quick pop in from me to say hello.

I am exhausted after work as i was put on the cover list 4 times today at school. Some pretty ropey groups, but all science lessons at least. My ankles are pretty swollen now though. I found a peppermint body shop foot spray while tidying the bathroom cabinet, and that is pretty good for making me feel a bit better. (lovely straight from the fridge)

I know i will be the same tomorrow, as i was down again for another 4 lessons. I had negotiated it down to 1, but then my head of department upped it to 2 again. Grr. What does that man have against me??? It was stongly sugggested to me that if i wasn't up to it i should start my maternity leave. (1 more week - think of the money and grit your teeth Michelle  )

anyway, enough of me whinging - my hormones have me a bit tearful at the minute, so i don't want to go there.

happy birthday pavlos dog. Hope it has been a good one.

I didn't realise that it was pink day, so i wore green. Then again, not sure i have anything in fat hippo size that is pink. :o

    best wishes to you all.
    Michelle, xx

quick edit - catowen, was OFSted tomorrow?? If so good luck. And if topher is around, hope your OFSTED hasn't been too bad.

I'm wearing a pink shirt........ accidentally, on purpose (like it was the only thing ironed!!!).

Hope that those people with Ofsteds go well. We didn't have the "surprise" visit today, but it's next Tuesday........... officially told by the head this morning. My Year 5 partner class teacher is very upset at the head and is threatening to hand in her notice to leave at Christmas. I'd be gutted if she did as she's really kind and really helping me. Obviously, if I found another job, then that would be fine. :D

I set the WM off this morning, complete with white vinegar for conditioning purposes. However, I think I tipped a little too much in. DH will complain if he smells like a chip shop.

We've heard from the estate agent today that the person that we're buying from is struggling to find a place to buy. Apparently she's petrified that we'll pull out of the sale. Obviously we want to move asap and begin to pay our own mortgage, but we'll give her a little bit of grace. :)

Supper tonight is going to be pasta with a veggie sauce. Nothing very exciting, but I'll do something more substantial tomorrow night. :j :j
