  • Afternoon all,
DH is working from home today so I have had to loook super busy all morning.
Lunch was j spuds with a HM coronation chicken filling (last of Sunday's rubber chicken) and dinner is sausage and mash which I shall put on timer in the oven as we're putting tents up this evening for cub camp this weekend - have you seen the gales! We'll be lucky if they're still there tomorrow...:D

Made some choccy fairy buns this morning - this afternoon - kid's music, ds1 swimming and I have to rethread a tent pole with elastic - casualty of May's cub camp:mad:

Hope you all have a good day

    errr..hrrmm...

(this is me, sidling up quietly hoping it's ok to come in....)

I haven't been about much in the past couple of days, what with being busy and also having computer problems, I have read the threads, but not said much. I hope all this will soon blow over, as OSers are the friendliest people on the web. I have ventured outside OS and have always come scuttling back asap.
I hope I don't come into the category of MATH's
People only ever posting on the OS board regardless of the subject matter. There are other boards on MSE so if you are taking about when to put the central heating on why the hell are you not on the gas/elec board!!
I have replied on the gas/electric thread on OS board, but did not post it there. Although as that was about OS ways of surviving the cold, perhaps that is not what you meant. Actually I have never personally started any thread on here, just added to those already here. Usually if there is something I have wondered about, someone else has already asked it!!!!
(The only thread I have started was on another board, about the relevant subject)

Anyway that's all I wanted to say. I just feel uncomfortable with all this going on, and hope that all is back to normal soon.

    Hello!

I'm a bit late today, cos computer was in "hospital" (and it's having to go back, cos still not behaving itself)
DS had piano this morning, then we picked up said computer & I put it all back together only to find there are still problems, so will drop it off again tomorrow & hope they can sort it out.
I have stripped the bed this morning, even hung the duvet out the window swiss-style first thing, brought it in before going out though in case of rain! I still havent completely finished our bedroom from last week. I completely gutted the wardrobes & decluttered loads, but there is still some stuff to go back, which got sidetracked by a very busy weekend then me being unwell.
Washing is out on line, & ironing is pretty much up to date apart from todays, so I am pleased about that.
    Happy birthday to pavlovs dog!
hope all is okay with snoozer's DD.

    have a good day.

Hi Y'all, Newbies, Oldies, Lurkers and all! and a special thank you to our BG's who like all the other BG's and mods on MSE to a difficult job:T After speaking my mind over the last few days I'm looking forward to dropping the subject and getting back to what is important in life. Eating chocolate, rockpooling and drinking loads of cheap wine for those who don't know me so well. LOL

    Dinner
    HM Fish and chips
    Eve's pudding with custard

I'm talking like I've had a stroke at the mo because I've just got back from the dentist after having a filling. I usually park on a road near the dentist that we used to live on years ago. I noticed that the people after the people who bought from us have dragged my luuuuurvly peach bathroom suite which I was soooo proud of in 1980 something onto the front drive to be skipped. Although it is probably a bit dated by now and I would probably do the same I must admit to feeling a pang of whistfulness as I remembered going to buy it and the relief I felt as it replaced the chocolate brown suite I inherited. LOL I also felt a bit dissed and insulted - does that make me mad:confused: :rotfl:

Mrs MATH has applied for a Training and Development role in the company she works, it's the job she is trained to do and she is bored rigid doing purchasing, hopefully we will have good news in the next week or so.

Hope you are all enjoying the good weather, I'm going to take the long way to school this afto as it is sooo nice.

Please can this post be the LAST post on this thread! Please!! It is yesterday's OS diary...and therefore yesterday's news!!!

MSEAndrea has been made aware of the problems, concerns and issues. I trust her to sort these out in her normal professional and sensible manner along with our (fabulous!) boardguides Gingham Ribbon and Pink-Winged.

MSEAndrea/ MSEMartin/ MSEDan/ MSE Anybody....please would you lock this thread.

Penblwydd hapus i chi, penblwyd hapus i chwi, penblwydd hapus Ci Pavlov, Penblwydd Hapus i Chwi :D

I hope no one minds me posting that in welsh (it's only the 'Happy birthday' song) but I know that Pavlov's Dog at the very least understands Welsh, if not fluent in it - and I very rarely get to use my Welsh. I know that a couple of others like to pick up the odd bit on here too, so thought it might be usefull .... yakky da and Dinbych y Pysgod to you two ladies too ;)

Well, I'm ashamed to say that between trying to catch up with the past few days events and reading/responding to PM's I've achieved.... hardly anything else! At least that's how it feels :p

I did manage to go to the college and claim back my petrol this am, and have a 20 min coffee with a friend I don't get to see much of. I also called in a 'greengrocers' in that area to buy some fruit. Prices were really good, but I was suprised at the total. Being the 'thrift monster' that I am at the moment I asked for the receipt. I came home and wieghed everything..... It should've come to £4.50 but I was charged £4.70  2p of which I assume was for the carrier (which was an old tesco one!) as there was an extra transaction for 2p

I did also go to the docs - and I was a very good girl and 'walked'.... but given the 'glow' on me when I got there I think I must've semi jogged :o . I even had to ask for a tissue when I saw the doc :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

The W/M is finally on, the S/C never did go on :( homework not done :( cleaning not done :( and the house is generally back in the state that Kim and Aggi find on their shows. Why oh why does my house get in such an extreme mess so quickly??? Does anyone else get this? I can have the house really nice and tidy, and in just a few days of being busy you can't move for mess - it really is as if the house is frequently burgled  Lol, maybe it is .
Oh no - I 've just had a call from the school and DS 2 is in trouble.... I think I might need to call on some hugs later.
    Love to you all,
    Kaz xxxx

    January '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.

Got up veeery late.. :o Gone 11am!! eek!

OH trundled off to work.. i have been busy tidying up.. havent done much last few days between work, birthday, job hunting, scouts.. so the place looked like a bombsite. Its really hard to make it look tidy/clean cos the renovations still arent done and to be honest the house is a state (1/2 a floor in the living room, no ceiling in the kitchen, no hot running water..etc etc) :(

Just taking a 2 min breather to find the recipe for bread for my BM on morphy richards site as the instruction book went AWOL in my house move... its PROBABLY in my nans house where the majority of my stuff is still being stored..

Will get on with the cleaning soon and put a load of wash on.. weathers nice here.. but next-door-but-1's dog is in the entry/alley and running about like a mad thing again so im not sure about putting my bed sheets out on the line incase it catches them - dont want them torn, dropping onto the mud!

There is a lot of dishes to be done and its my turn! Booooo!! Hiss! :rotfl: We have a rota as both me and OH dont like doing them... and if we "forget" to do them on our night.. then we have to put £5 in a special piggy bank the next day (£2.50 on weekend nights) as punishment....and then when we want to do something together as a treat like go out or get a takeaway we use that money!! :D

Guess i'll be busy all afternoon...

    Breakfast - Toast
Lunch - Packet of hula hoops, 2 nectarines, 2 plums and a banana
Tea: Poached Salmon with dill, salad and potato something.
