  • Morning all

I have resolved to just keep on doing my thing here on the Daily Thread, treating it the way I like to see it, in the vain and glorious hope that it'll settle down eventually. ;)

I have one piece of momentous news ... I've finished my sofa blankie!! :j :T I don't remember when I started knitting it - but I did it in squares, 30 stitches wide, four squares across by eight squares long and then put a 13-stitch wide border around it. It weighs a ton, but its both beautiful and as cosy as can be. Not one single piece of wool was bought, the whole lot was donated from family, friends and freecyclers - so I shall take a picture of it and then post it up somewhere so that they can all play "spot my wool". I shall now spend some time making some cards, but my next knitting project will be a dog jumper for my old greyhound boy (if I can find a pattern!).

Aside from that, jobs for today include working on the carpet stain that is improving, but still there; clearing the garden of dog poo (lovely!); cleaning out the birdies and the guinea pig and cheering OH on as he dusts and vacs upstairs. I came to the conclusion that if I couldn't get the upstairs vac'd because he's constantly in the way, get him to do it. :T Seems to be working, as he's dusting as we speak. :rotfl:

    Meals for today include :
B : Weetabix with Weasels (raisins, to the rest of the world!)
    L : Jacket potato and something fat-free
D : Chilli filled Calzones with salad. OH's next job is to make the chilli. :p

Happy birthday to Pavlov's Dog! Hope its a great one.
:grouphug: to all those in need of one today, and :p to the rest of you. :rotfl:
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:

    Morning All!!!!!

Is beautiful here today, do not want to be in the office. Had to dig DS school shorts out, it's so warm, thought I had put those away until next June.

Onto OS, put a wash in machine this morning, then will get DH to hang that out and put dining chair covers in (they're cream what was I thinking  ).

Made beef casserole last night and that is in the SC today (mental note not to do this at 9pm again, dreamt about slow cookers and beef casseroles all night). Dinner doesn't really suit the weather we're having but maybe we'll eat in the garden to compensate. ;)

DH off today, he's missing DD's company in the mornings now she's in Reception and has had to take himself off for a hot choc and a chocolate twist in our favourite cafeto cheer himself up.

Did some online banking this morning, so all done there. Once I'm home as today is Flylady in the bathroom and dinner is already done will put away the pile of clean clothes in our bedroom, hoover upstairs and then blitz the bathroom this evening in between homework and catching up with the little ones.

Happy Pink Appreciation Day to one and all, lovely idea Aussie Lass.

Hugs to The Bride - thinking of you.
Scottish Spendaholic - are you in Fife? DH hails from there - Lundin Links.

Anyway must fly this is a bit long - sorry.

Well I have all my stuff through with my details for the OS boating holiday :) So will update that thread in a bit :)

OH has been away since monday morning but will be home tonight YAY! As I have been SO busy this week, making home made soap (test batch) and doing doggy training and chopping veg I have decided to be VERY lazy for lunch... I am going to have chips! It's chip van day and I am gonna have some! A WHOLE £1's worth!!! :rotfl:

It's been a horrid week but at least I have my holiday to look forward to and I just can't wait! Work has been horrid and I nearly quit yesterday.. If I could afford to I would have done!

  • Morning all :hello:

Big (((hugs))) to those who want/need them and even bigger squeezy (((hugs))) to those who don't :rotfl:

Yaaay - the sun is out, there's a nice breeze ..... but I haven't got anything in the WM to hang out yet. I'm being a lazy moo and am still in my DG (has pink bits on it :)) cos boys got a lift in today. Have made some work-related phone calls though, so all is not lost.

Have to do a major shop today - £150 on pop and chocs!! (For the cadets' tuck shop) and I'll nip into Aldi for me as I didn't get chance yesterday. Also need industrial amounts of porridge oats for me n' DS2.

Will have to think of something nice for tea - DS1 has a friend coming over and he doesn't like shepherds pie which is what I was going to make. He'll eat everything else though, so I'll have a route around.

Today I shall bless the upstairs of the house, put a couple of loads through the WM and crack on with my business plans. Need to visit a conference room I may want to hire too and negotiate a better deal :D

Ok, love ya and leave ya.

    P.A.D. :T

    The Bride: thinking of you.

    Hello everyone,

Special thoughts to the Bride and Happy Birthday Pavlov's dog.

Sorry no pink here today but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate Pink and Gingham for all they do:j .

Had to go to London yesterday, went to Barts with DD, she had to have a biopsy after 2 positive smears, now need to wait to see if she needs further treatment. She's only 23 :( .

DS went back to Uni yesterday so I have rescued all the towels from his room, done 1 load of washing and put it out to dry, another one is in to be put out after work. Want to make leek and potato soup tonight to use up veg before we go away on Sat.

Will also do the ironing tonight. Meal will be M & S ready meal :o but yum.
