    No hospital visits today:D

Didnt sleep well last night and DD was very unsettled...nervous about Tuesday and starting secondary school....poor thing! Have asked her what she wants to do today but she said nothing...she wouldnt even eat her dinner last night and went to be with water:confused:

WM is on and beds need stripping which OH and DD can do when they get up. DW needs emptying and SIL is here clenaing today, so nothing else to be done by us.

Friend who lost her baby has gone to stay at her mothers for a few weeks. Saw her briefly yesterday and just sat with her and let her let it all out. I understand what its like as Ive had several miscarriages due to the SLE, but the latest was 24 weeks.

DD has a party tomorrow and another sleepover:rolleyes: and weve been invited out for dinner on sunday with BIL/SIL (other ones-OH has 6 brothers and sisters:eek: )

Gonna go and get some breakie.

    Breakie: Bacon Butty
    Lunch: Baked Spud
Dinner; Lamb chop, mint mash, cauli, carrots & mint gravy

    Hugs to all.

Goodmorning Prinny & Ageanjo & all to follow,

It's been a sunnier day today so got all the washing dry. I have to take my computer back tomorrow morning as while it's improved the problem is still there. It keeps crashing & he didn't do all the settings properly. I can't use my printer etc.

I had a wee resty this arv :D didn't have the best sleep last night. Feel much better for it. Off to dinner tonight so have got the night off cooking. :j My TWG didn't arrive today. As soon as I noticed the postie had come I got the dogs and raced off to check only to be greeted with a phone bill. :p

First day of Spring here. I expect it's the first day of Autumn over there.

Ageandjo I remember the feeling too well when I was a smoker having to light my fag on the hotplate when I'd run out of lighter gas. ;) I quit 6 years ago and am now a reformed smoking nazi. :D

Prinny It's such a pain when you lose a long post. It happens every now and again to me.

Have a great day everyone & (((((hugs))))) to those feeling poorly. Byeeee

Cross posted with you PP. Hope you get a resty today too. It's such a scary thing for kids to start secondary school. She'll be fine once she's there is just the not knowing I expect. The sleepover will keep her mind off it.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • Morning, Prinny! Good to see you back. Have yoiu been enjoying the festivals?

Ageandjo, your dog seems to have escaped! :rotfl:

Dorry, hope I've not missed you. Read your post yesterday evening, so made sure I posted before w***.

Hi PP and Aussie - we cross posted!

Off over the wolds again today, then quick trip back to the office, and home early. It's been great having a child-free week. We have no family close by so getting some time for ourselves can be difficult. But a week of enjoying ourselves, and staying out late is beginning to take its toll. So night in tonight, curry, wine, DVD.

BTW, I posted the lemon curd recipe yesterday. I've also done it with orange, and Seville orange is delicious.

For those who mentioned it, I wasn't demonstrating at Drax yesterday. I'm active in promoting alternative energy generation (see my avatar :D ) but we're ages off closing down a large power station.

Have a good day all. :j

    Me again

    Update on my sisterin Oz

She came to blows with her DH and has kicked him out:j  :j :j And I should dam well think so after hitting her:mad:  she called the police etc... but I think it will get worse before it gets better over there, I feel so useless here as I can't help in anyway.
He has cashed in an endowment policy behind her back since:eek:
I am just hoping she is safe.
Aussielass= the laws over there seem to be different to over here, apparently the cop said if someone hits you, hit em' back:confused:

Ageandjo That's a lot of rot. If someone hits you that is classed as assault. Even a push is classed as assault. What state is she in?

She will need to get a restraining order taken out on him that forbids him to go anywhere near the house. If he violates that he will be placed into custody. That is the law over here.

In regards to the endowment policy if it was in her name only or joint names needing her signature his actions are deemed illegal and she should seek legal advice. Our laws are as strict if not stricter than UK Law so it's there if she wants to use it.

PenPen Good for you. Unfortunatly there is nothing to replace the power stations yet but things are slowly changing here. The new laws we have had to abide with as we are building a new house is that we have to use renewable energy for our hot water, energy rating for our house design, strict guidelines with lighting. There a start, but it's making it a lot more difficult to build and more costs. I reckon it's worth it in the long term though.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • Morning all

Just a qucik post as I never had a chance to pop on yesterday. Out to work at 7:30 and I didn't get home till nearly 9pm ( but not all work related...... did manage to catch up with some friends :D )

Need to get a wriggle on
