    Hi everyone.

Feeling very blurry with tiredness today so sorry if I don't mention anyone.

Billy Elliott was great but I don't think the musical beats the film somehow.

Didn't get home till after midnight, went straight to bed but OH then bumbled around packing to go to Istanbul . It was only confirmed he had to go yesterday and he left at 6 this morning:eek: .

So I've been running late and not done any of my morning routines. Will ring ds later and ask him to have a quick whizz roud the kitchen and front room for me, after all he's the one who causes most of the mess.

MIL & SIL spent last night in a hotel but will be back tonight before heading home to the Wirral on Saturday. I'm then hoping for a very quiet weekend.

Morning :hello: ... I was in the office quite early this morning to prepare for a 9am meeting ... Great, now I've been given an additional six million things to do by next Wednesday by my boss's boss ... Still, he's not all bad - he turned down my ex-boss's request to borrow me back! ... Went over to the flat last night to measure up for furnishings :j :j :j ... It's even nicer than I remember it :j :j :j ... Can't wait to move in! ... Just wish my conveyancing would get a move on ... Argos sent me through the leather swatch for the sofa I want, it's a really nice texture and I definitely still want it! ... ((((PP's DD)))) - I don't remember being nervous about secondary school (though I do remember not knowing where to get the bus home from, and missing it on the first day along with a couple of other people - one of the teachers had to give us a lift home in his car (he lived one street away from me so that wasn't too bad!)) ... Got a very busy weekend lined up ... There are some fabulous concerts lined up at the Proms this weekend, the Berlin Philharmonic is playing various things today and tomorrow, then on Sunday the Philadelphia Orchestra is playing Beethoven's 9th ... Much as I enjoy the Proms, thank goodness they'll be over next weekend and I can get on with planning my move! ... An occupationl hazard of the Proms is that I seem to be spending as much time on the BBC Proms message board as I do on here :o ... Right, I'm BUSY ... Must go ... Rzl xx

Morning everyone! Its sunny here at the moment so Im hoping to get some washing dried today. I have to type this one handed because Puppy Pug insists on sitting on my lap when Im at the computer and I have to hold a beef flavoured plastic chew in my left hand for her to chew at!!!

PP - What a nice friend you are. I wish your friend well. She must feel quite low. As for your daughter, I remember that feeling well. Its quite daunting starting secondary school but she will be fine after a couple of days and wondering what she was worried about. It really does help if she has someone to go with too.

Funky Fairy - I went to my first funeral at the age of 34 and it was my grandma. It was awful and I have vowed never to go to a funeral again. I just can't cope with them! Perhaps if I'd been to funerals when I was younger I would have learnt to cope a bit better?

Im off to do my cleaning stint now - bathrooms, polishing and hoovering. Yuck! Got my stardrops anyway!

    L: Havent decided yet
D: HM Chilli and rice (yum!)

:j   Morning all.........(((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) to those who need them, espceially Miss PP, I am sure the new school will be ok.........but its natural to be nervous......

Well I washed the curtains and the lining on one of them shredded, so I guess at some point I am going to have to reline them............its a windy morning so am going to put them on the line to dry.......... will have to try and iron them damp.

Was not feeling too great yesterday, seem to be better this am, but another bad night, was drinking tea and reading at 4.30am.

:j My friend is going to hand quilt my churndash quilt for me, ;) I was going to pay for it to be done on a long arm machine, but she has decided to do it as a thank you for the help I have been giving her with the computer. Saved me £100.......... good on yer mate!!!!!:j :j

We need to go to the librbay and to collect medication from Boots this afternoon. OH took the mower in yesterday to get it rewired, he is at the allotment doing a bit before we go away. Both coffee grinders have offeres on them now, they finish tonight, so will have to email to the buyers and tell them I will post them when we get back on Thursday......... need to get the cheques in my mitt first.

Right, off for a caffine fix and then want to try out a pattern for a free standing lace angel ornament for the christmas tree, another project for the boot sale, will post a photo when its done.

    See y'all later.....................

Morning everyone and thanks for all the hugs - I feel quite squashed!! What a lovely bunch you are!

Went to see my work colleague last night and he is now in a wheelchair. He is incredibly positive about his situation, at least to everyone on the outside so to speak. Well they do say you can't get cancer of the soul - and he is a fine example of that.

Have taken ages to read through the rest of yesterday's thread and today's so well behind with the chores!!! Nice reason though!

Happy anniversary Aussielass - hope the evening was just perfect for you.

Penny P - have just read about your friend - what a great friend you are, and my heart goes out to her. I miscarried after we had decided not to have children and went through enough then. They say time heals, but sometimes its a very long and very painful process. (((((HUGS))))))

FunkyFairy - thoughts with you too re the funeral.

Pen Penguin - lemon curd my very favourite spread and never tried to make it before, off to get teh ingredients soon, so thanks for the recipe. Won't do anything for my waistline though as I have been known to spoon it out of the jsr and skip the spreading stage (which just transfers to my waistline.........)

Made my list of things to do which includes cleaning out a very dusty bathroom - only two of us in the house and tend to use the en-suite all the time. The window has been open for some time and there is an incredible collection of harvest bugs (yek!)

Beautiful and sunny so will get some washing done today - weather tomorrow looks shocking so no chance then!

Best to all and thanks again for your support
