  • I never seem to manage much more than lurking these days, but just wanted to offer my support to the DT by saying hi to everyone.
My only OS achievement today has been to put the leftovers from our takeaway Indian (DH's birthday treat) into the fridge to take to work for tomorrow'slunch!
Work is a big issue at the moment - only doing it to get the mortgage paid (target date Sept2008), but I'm finding it soooo stressful. A big OS push is definitely needed, to see if we can save a bit more and accelerate that date. Here's hoping...
PS edited to add - I've had a pink T shirt and pink cardi on all day, so managed to mark PAD without even realising it!
  • Good morning one and all!

I've been up for an hour, and decied that I wouldn't post a new thread until I'd posted on the FLC III thread first. :D

DH has a day off today before he flies to China tomorrow, so he's talking me out for lunch in Beverley, then a mooch round their lovely charity shops! Then I'm having my eyes tested, so next stop this morning will be the Specs and contact lens threads

Was it Aussie who asked about the rabbit casserole? DH skins and joints the rabbit, then I lightly brown it with onion and garlic. Then I make a casserole with veg and stock, in the same way as chicken. However, I prefer rabbit - denser and tastier meat.

    See you later, Penny. x

Good morning Pen Pen, Mrs_Mix and everyone in OS land this morning.

I have no idea why I'm awake so early but I've put the time to good use, BM is on and WM is loaded to go on when I scoot out of the door to work.

As I am up I'll sort myself out lunch to take to work, and also maybe pop something in the SC as I'll have a busy evening this evening so it will be nice to have something hot to come home to.

My current cooker is a total waste of space and I can't change it (just nag the landlord :D ) So I've invested in a combination microwave with one of those base browner things. It arrives tomorrow and as I am a total microwave novice I need to do some reading on here :T I really want to get back to baking. Just hope this thing works or there will be tears before bedtime

Have a lovely day everyone icon7.gif
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

  • Morning Guys!

Not a good night here. Only slept for about 4 hrs:confused: OH had a row with his mum last night and it unsettled me abit.

WM will be on soon after the beds have been stripped. Cleaner here today, which is just aswell as Im not feeling great and have talen pain killers already:eek: BM will be on later making more cakes/breads and DW will be emptied in a while after breakfast.

OH has a few more jobs around the house to do, then we may go and watch a film at the cinema as DD has hockey after school and wont be finishing till 4pm. Yesterday he managed to clean the cooker, hang the mirror, tidy gardens etc:D

DD & I are having a girly evening. There is a film on the Disney channel at 6pm and am going to make some popcorn and buy some fizzy drink and choccies and watch it together with her. Also going to have a treat of KFC:o Will do each others toe nails and maybe stick a face mask on.

    Breakie: Bacon and mushroom roll
    Lunch: Baked Spud and coleslaw
    Dinner: KFC

Have a good day guys. Hugs

will drag kyle out looking for elderberries again today :D we had a lovely walk yesterday, it was so sheltered on the old railway line, i got a few crab apples in case i make apple jelly, they have a lot of pectin

love and hugs to all xx
  • Happy Friday everyone :hello:

Mmmm, I love rabbit too. I'm going to try and get one at the butcher's today.I asked a fortnight ago and they said they were having problems getting them at the moment  not sure why as it's definitely rabbit season.

I'm also going to pick a bag of elderberries on the way back from school and make some of that lovely sounding cordial that Twink and others have mentioned.

I'm feeling a bit guilty about not doing any hedgerow stuff yet. No blackberrying, I haven't made anything with my crab apples and my quince tree is absolutely loaded. I have made damson gin though ;)

    Good morning everyone,

(((HUGS))) to all who had a bad night last nigth xxx

Well, today is the day OFSTED pay me a visit!!!!! Im not worried, apart from the fact my fence blew down in the wind yesterday, so im hoping she will give me a bit of leeway over it (they like gardens to be secure) not a lot i can do when we had winds like we did yesterday!!!!! Im hoping she wont be here long, as i printed out some pictures for the little ones to colour in, but as they do things like that in the kitchen, cant really do it until she has gone.
Havnt really got much planned apart from that, do need to put the BM on, want some pizza fough for dinner tonight, and ive finally run out of the bread i bought last weekend for DSs party, so want to get back to the home cooked stuff.
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
