thriftlady wrote:Furrypig, I'm intrigued by your chicken nuggets with leftover chicken. I always use raw chicken, so how do you do it with cooked, do you mince it up with other things ?
I was wondering that too, it sounds like a great idea, can you post the recipe please?
The suite is here and is installed in the living room. It looks fab!! It's a bit dark in here though as the old one is parked outside the living room window. I'm gritting my teeth until DH gets up and tells me off for spending more money but my old one was looking terribly shabby between the kids and the cats and I was hiding it under throws. It was fun (not) trying to get the old one out but the guy was lovely and helped me with both old sofas and got the new ones in for me. There are some nice people in the world. He does a lot of house clearance and is now keeping his eyes open for some wardrobes for me. Tis Oldstyle as I'm recycling other peoples unwanted furnitureOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Haven't posted for a few days and "almost" missed the debate on the DT. So, not 100% sure what to post here, as I really can't face reading the millions of posts the other thread has. Anyways ...
2 loads of washing hanging on the line, although for how long I'm not sure, there's a gale blowing out there! The wind is warm though, so fingers crossed it dries before it blows away!
Still got loads of cherry toms out there, so need to make some sauce later.
Starting an evening class on Monday, which was meant to be a patchwork and quilting course, which has materialised in to being an applique course, which wasn't quite (totally!) what I (or half the others) desired. It was a pleasant enough evening, although a little disappointing ... still got my homework to complete either way!
DD and I have just been making models .. I knew I was saving loo roll inners for something, LOL.
Right, off to find some material to make a superhero's cape .. wish me luck!

Hi again CHICKEN NUGGET RECIPE
Work friend said to take left over chicken (we had a roast one with bones gone to make stock) put it in food processor and whizz up she said you will need to add some seasoning of your choice (I used pepper and tarragon) and something 'wet'. I used a small amount of stock but she said you could add tomatoe sauce or water . Then shape the moist chicken, dipp in egg then in bread crumbs and shallow or deep fry. Not sure if they could be done in the oven. Anyway I have got as far as shaping them and have just whizzed up bread for the crumbs so haven;t eaten any yet (they are for tomorrow) but the mixture tasted nice when I tried it!!0 -
Sounds yum, a bit like a chicken rissole, will def try that next roast chicken.Thanks:A0
