Actually Frizz - I fear you have shot yourself in the foot there, because PP didn't make reference to WHO had sent her a pm and I really thought someone else had sent it!! I don't see your problem with PP's post? It's short, refers to her day, doesn't include hello's, lists of personalised messages, recipes, links, references to !!!!!!, UFO's or anything else that you may deem inappropriate.

I feel I need to step in here because as you say
PP didn't make reference to WHO had sent her a pm and I really thought someone else had sent it!!
and I'm going to play devils advocate here!

Precisely *because* no one knew who sent it, Frizz was concerned that some OS'ers would assume that it was me who had sent it and she didn't want anyone to make that mistake.

The reason Frizz held that concern was because, in her post above, she has posted the link to the post of PP's (which prompted her to PM PP in the first instance).
It wasn't PP's post on today's daily thread, but her post in the Daily Discussion Thread today - where PP was responding to ageandjo questioning one of my posts.

Unbeknown to Frizz, or anyone else on here, her concern is not unfounded. I have received PM's in relation to the tone underlying remarks made towards me today in the Daily Discussion Thread.

Frizz and I have had a cyber relationship ever since we chuckled over Tuesdays Tempting Tasties way back last year and I have met her. It's no secret. But that does not detract from the fact that this comment
    You are such a LIAR!!
has no place in the OS Daily Thread or indeed posting in *any* public place.
In my experience of the person who calls herself "Frizz" I have met someone who is genuine, supportive of those who she cares for and above all, honest!

She didn't need to own up to her PM, no more than you did TM and just as I have respect for *you* doing so, I have equal respect for Frizz doing so.

Now please, this whole situation is getting very much out of hand. I think we're all in agreement that we'd like to keep the OS Daily.

Upsets such as these are seriously not helping *anyone* - not those concerned, not those getting involved and most definately those who are neither involved nor want to be!

And if we *have* to add an OS comment to justify this post - I've been given FREEEEEEEE a preserving pan - which is quite handy as I didn't dare confess before that I burnt the bottom of one of my pans when I made my blackberry n apple.

It's OK - I didn't think it was you either, but I can understand if she was worried other may think it was.

Now, about that pan :rotfl: I hope you are soaking it in a strong solution of bio washing powder then boiling it all up tomorrow, to shift the burnt on stuff :D:D
  • *puts tin hat on*

College day today so train fare, breakfast and lunch put on Company credit card (making it an OS no spend day for me), made HM spag bol for tea and tomorrow's lunch, cleaned and hoovered downstairs, began menu planning for next week
  • Good evening everyone!

Not done much OS today, apart from eat the last HM jam tart - I also have no willpower, Thriftlady! However, I now have 5 whole days off (and apart from a choir singing engagement) I have 2 of those to my very self!! :T Love my family, but a couple of days to sew and not have to put things away because they might be trodden on, will be bliss. :D

Will be Flying tomorrow. The bathrooms haven't been as sparkly since they were installed. Might make some more lemon curd, and pickle some shallots, too.

See you all tomorrow, Penny. x

So, why is it our bedroom looks like Hiroshima has hit it because I started to clean it at 18:00 ... and yet, I find the time to start stripping the hallway of wallpaper? Hmmmm ... I am going to have to finish the bedroom however ... as I have stacked EVERYTHING on the bed ..... may be we'll sleep in the spare room :rotfl:

I wish someone would give me another preserving pan ... can't complain too hard though ... the last one was given to my ma as her cousin had a spare ... and my ma had barely chance to get it out of her car before I purloined it ..... 10yrs ago ;)

  • Hello all,

Thought I'd start today's thread before I choof off out the door. Lovely sunny day here, just right for house building. Not a lot of OS planning here to do today although I have to put a chook in the SC before I go. The fella's are having tea here again.

    Brekky: cereal & toast
    Lumch: sangas
    Tea: chook & roast veg

Hope your day is a happy one.
