Penny-Pincher!! wrote:Just to let you know that I received a PM within 2 minutes of posting asking if my above post was necessary and that I am not helping things get back to normal. Why cant I say how people have made me feel and that I just want to get on with it
Anyway, PM sent back telling them to go away!
Sorry but this is getting ridiculous! I just want to continue with the daily OS thread to get me focused for the day.
If I have offended anyone other than this person...sorry!

The PM was from me.
I was referring to this post:-

I am disappointed that you felt the need to post it publicly, particularly in light of whats happened over the last few days, hence, my very reasons for sending it in the form of a PRIVATE message, and keeping it off the boards.

Evening all :hello:
Happy birthday Skystar
A belated happy birthday to johanne too
Work has been exhausting today. We've had another meeting that took double the amount of time than it should have. Emotions are running very high at school and having meeting after meeting is not helping matters. This means that it's running into our marking and planning time....... so we're all having to bring more work home with us than normal and it's impacting on everyones' home life. I shouldn't really be on here now....... but I need a rest before I crack on with the zillions of marking that I've got. So much for the time management programme that I made earlier this year! In addition, we've found out (though we shouldn't have done) that we're having a "surprise" visit from a former Ofsted inspector, to "see how we're doing". The senior management team haven't told us......... but a governor parent (of two girls in my year). So, I'm organising all the bits that I can do for this "surprise" visit. This seems unfair as under the Ofsted/HMI rules we'd be given at least 24hrs notice......... but the only notice that we've been given is one that we shouldn't have   I'm hoping that it's just a vicious lie!
Sorry about that rant............. DH is working late tonight, so I can't decide whether to pop and get fish and chips or have beans on toast. I know what is cheaper, but I know what I'm craving. I think you can work it out
Nothing OS today, I'm afraid........

Edited to put: PS Semi-OS........ a friend has just sent me an e-mail with the t-shirt folding thing that Anthea Turner does. I was proudly able to tell her (said friend would give Anthea Turner a run for her money on the "Perfect Housewife" front) that I actually fold my t-shirts like that now.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
This board is a mess! Even after all the chindig yesterday I have read at least three non OS threads posted on the board today, a further two that are duplicate threads, a fact that can easily be gained if people can be bothered to search, add to that the bickering and b!tching that passes for the daily thread once you've negotiated around the two people who are invariably chatting to themselves for 10 posts! (no one in mind as I type this-so don't try to guess) We were allowed this chatty thread with rules attached, if Martins closes it is is no more than we deserve because we have dragged it down with our undiciplined behaviour and lazyness.Life's a beach! Actually Frizz - I fear you have shot yourself in the foot there, because PP didn't make reference to WHO had sent her a pm and I really thought someone else had sent it!! I don't see your problem with PP's post? It's short, refers to her day, doesn't include hello's, lists of personalised messages, recipes, links, references to !!!!!!, UFO's or anything else that you may deem inappropriate.
Please leave her alone - it is noticeable that you pick on PP!!
However, to bring this back to OS guidelines, BM is on making a loaf, having made a banana cake earlier. WM is on and ironing will be done later. Was offered a job last night too - good money, P/T college lecturer but only temporary so I've said no thanks, I have my business to set up. (sorry, was that off topic Frizz?)0 -
Oh what a waste
Master troo ruined a big pot of bol sauce, no-one liked it - it was really horrible  So no tea yet. Miss troo made her own, master troo can starve for all I care, I'll have a sandwich and mr troo will probably have heated-up stew.
The kitchen's a mess. I hate living with other people, the house is lovely til they all come home from school/work then it turns into a disaster zone :rotfl:Bulletproof0 -
Evening everyone - hope everyone had a good day :hello:
Didn't get on this morning, so this is more of a 'what happened' rather that what's planned.
The intention was to get loads of tidying done so middle son's birthday pressies have somewhere to go, but it's been one of those 'hard to get going' days, so that was a bit of a non-starter.
Still, I got a couple of loads through the WM, did some shopping this morning (thank you Mr Sainsbury - you just filled my freezer for less than half price), and made a bread pudding for tea using up some eggs and bread that were almost over.
Biggest acheivement today though - getting hubby (who is worse than the kids) to try, and admit to liking, not one but two new foods - and one of them was fruit based! *thud*
Still annoyed I didn't get the tidying done, but tomorrow is another day as they say

thriftlady wrote:A lot of headaches around today, I think Aussielass and Wishingonastar said they had bad ones too.
A doctor told me that spring and autumn were the main times of the year for coughs and colds and it could be thats why people have headaches. I have just had a tickly cough and slightly runny nose and it started off as a headache for 3 days.(Hope you didn't catch it off me through this forum!). Sometimes when you are about to catch a cold your body manages to fight it off before it really gets going so you end up just having a headache and feeling a bit tired and no cold symptoms materialise.
Ive bought a delish packet of frozen berries from M&S and have made a summer fruit pudding using my HM bread. Its in the fridge, ready to eat tomorrow. I hope Ive done it right! :rolleyes:Penny-Pincher wrote:Just to let you know that I received a PM within 2 minutes of posting asking if my above post was necessary and that I am not helping things get back to normal.
Rise above it, Penny-Pincher. I can see nothing wrong with anything you posted.0 -
Hi all,
Having mulled over all the stuff that's been going on lately, I have decided that I will keep posting (when I get time) but will keep it brief. So here goes
Got up, went to w**k, came home, WM x 2 loads, HM Spag Bol for tea, cleaned car, washing hung out.
Have a good evening all0 -
I made some lovely raisin and sunflower seed cookies for lunch boxes this afternoon. I wasn't going to have any......now I've just eaten my 6th and they're really big
I just have no will power at all:rolleyes: I'm rapidly turning into one of those doughballs FrugalJo has been making:eek:
