Home from work, and just phoned the Brownies to enquire why DD hadn't started yet when I handed her details over 4 times and some of her friends had!!! I was told that she wasn't on the listbut fortunately someone had dropped out and she could start tonight :T :T :T DD is soooo excited, and so am I
I love the brownies. My 7 and 8 year old daughters are in the brownies and really enjoy it.I was one many moons ago and my two older daughters were one. I like the traditional things that they do.I also like the way that any race or religion can be one. I hope your daughter has a great time being a `Brownie`.“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0 -
had to post a 2nd time. I won a pigsback quiz again - yay for me. I'm not normally lucky, but in the past few months i won ten pound here twice, and a raffle at school where i got a cute cuddly dog for the baby.
Perhaps i should buy a lottery ticket???
I've also managed to work solidly on my school work so i am feeling a good bit better about that, then come back here to find two recipes to try. Absolute bliss. No ironing done though, but i'll keep quiet about that. Perhaps this evening in my dreams
I also had an email from my friend who has been made redundant and was quite depressed, and she has been offered a job in Korea, which is mega good news for her. All in all, a fantastic day, of which i hope it will continue.

DH is awake and is over the moon with the new sofas - phew.......
He didn't tell me but he was getting very depressed with the state of the of the old ones and was more amazed that I had managed to get them changed over without waking him upOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Afternoon everyone!
What a gorgeous autumnal day it's been. Sadly missed some of it as we went to Eeeek-kea (Ikea) and that took ages, but spent a couple of hours cutting an old fruit tree down, turning much of it into logs and shredding the rest for compost. Actually all we've done is taken off two huge branches. The remaining branches are going to be a bit tricky, so we've left those for another day.
Pasta with hm Pesto for dinner this evening. Not good for my weight loss, but it may be the half bottle of wine that's the problem there!
First day in ages I've done absolutely NOTHING housewifely. No cleaning, no washing, not even put the DW on yet. I might have to lie down to recover.
OH is upstairs putting together the new bookcases. I popped up to take a photo of the old one ready to go on Ebay next time they have a cheap listing day. (I don't count today's cheap listing, because it was "buy it now" only items that qualified).
Made £88 (after fees and postage) on the last lot of stuff., which I'm putting towards some more premium bonds. With the cheap listing days it's great to list all those items that I thought might not sell, or don't sell for much. It;s amazing how it all adds up.
Sprouting beans (which I started on Monday, thanks to Kitty) have started to sprout...hmm.. we'll see.
Have a great evening everyone

Just to let you know that I received a PM within 2 minutes of posting asking if my above post was necessary and that I am not helping things get back to normal. Why cant I say how people have made me feel and that I just want to get on with it
Anyway, PM sent back telling them to go away!
Sorry but this is getting ridiculous! I just want to continue with the daily OS thread to get me focused for the day.
If I have offended anyone other than this person...sorry!

Oh PP I'm sorry you have been PM'd!!! How horrible for you and shame on the person who PM'd you.
I haven't been a member of this site, let alone this forum, for very long but I have always felt most welcome on the Old Style forum. This is a friendly forum (stress on the IS) and I for one will not be bullied or shamed out of going somewhere else because someone else thinks I should write in a certain manner. I read the "other" thread but didn't feel the need to post on it. However, I have decided that I will post on the Daily Thread every day in whichever style I choose. If enough of us decide to do this then it will have been worth it.
This thread has been a source of support, information and wisdom to me. I'm sure that applies to many more who read the thread. As I said before, it would be very sad if this site died a slow and painful death because a small minority decided it should be (managed) (written) (choose your verb) in a different style.
Hope things start to improve health-wise for you soon PP. (((hugs)))"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
