Moggins, funny isn't it how we always want what we haven't got? I've spent a lifetime straightening my wavy/curly red/blonde hair ( now greying!!:rotfl: ) whilst hankering after dead straight black hair!!:D Tried dying it black when I was 14, it came out khaki green!:o Some concoction I got from Woolworth's!! Hope yours goes well this afternoon
That made me laugh, I went through a goth period at about 16 and dyed my natural ash blond bum length hair mid blue with Harmony hair dye from Superdrug, I didnt know that if you had to have quite dark hair to get away with that sort of dye. Mum and the school were not impressed.Sorting my life out one day at a time0 -

Scuzz - ((((Hugs))) it's been 7 years (on 31/8) for me since I lost Dad and each year on his birthday and the anniversary I play his favourite Nat King Cole record. It does seem to help. Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

LOL, that is so funny as when I was 16 I decided I wanted my dark brown/almost black hair to be a very light blonde. I did it at home and it went orange! I had to go through a whole year of college with orange hair and everyone thought I was a punk
The next time I decided to go blonde I went and had it done at the hairdressers instead. I have been all shades in between too but never orange since
I'm keeping my fingers crossed as I have never been to this hairdressers before and I'm quite nervous about it.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning all.
Hugs to all who need them.
I didn't think I'd been particularly OS last night but I did cook the second round of a rubber chicken and made a load of bread rolls for sandwiches, so I suppose I wasn't hanging around after work.
Didn't have a thunderstorm last night but it was very sticky and I seemed to spend many hours awake. I'm a bit bleary eyed in work today.

Morning all,
Joanna's mum - hope you're ok this morning. I have an Octavia and it's the nicest car I've ever had - although to be fair my first car was a Fiat Panda:D which I loved to pieces - 1st car thing.
The only funny thing I know about car theft - a friend of ours had her car stolen last year. The back of the car was packed with a load of chemicals cos she and dh were due to do a demonstration lecture the next day. When the police found the car, all the bottles were smashed including one of butyric (sp?) acid which is the smelliest thing you can imagine - it reeks of the oldest smelliest socks - enough to make you sick - and once it's on you....The only consolation our friend had was the thought of the thief absolutely stinking and not being able to wash it off :rotfl: :rotfl:
Planning a quiet day - need to tidy the kitchen after a big tomato chutney session yesterday - but isn't it satisfying to see the jars. Dinner is in the SC and I need to buy some material as there is a patchwork course starting tomorrow that I want to go to - I have some but I need backing material. Beavers starts tonight - at the moment we're trying to work out whether we will have to have booster seats for the minibus if we go out anywhere.
Have a good day everyone“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Feel fed up today I have major PMT:mad:
Why is it nothing goes right when you have PMT? My hair looks naff, it's long and blonde and today looks like straw:mad:
Snap! I feel lousy. Yesterday I could have done with having a really good argument with someone to get it out of my system! My little Pug woke me up at 5.30 because she wanted to go out (she doesn't usually do this but I went to bed early and left it up to OH to put her outside before bed and so he probably didn't!). I couldn't get to sleep and looked at the clock at 6.30am and thought, 'well its only another half an hour before I have to get up anyway'. The next thing I knew it was 7.20! Had to rush to get up and get DD breakfast. My alarm had gone off at 7.00 but I just slept through it. I sleep like the dead when Im on my period! This morning I feel headachey and my hair is sticking out all over the place! I just hate this!!!
Joannasmum - I know how you feel. My brother had his first car stolen and even though it was an old banger and nothing special, when he got it back he just couldn't go out and about in it any more. It felt tainted. So he sold it and got another one. I hope everything gets sorted for you.
Scuzz - The anniversaries are always difficult and sad. Hope today is ok for you.

Hi all. No thunder here but it rained hard during the night and is now damp and grey outside. Found my first fat slug of the year outside
Going to whizz round with the vinegar/MF cloth and the vacuum in a moment, turkey curry already in the SC and must put another loaf in the Panny. Not much else going on here apart from yet more ironing breeding in the laundry basket - I already ironed TEN shirts on Saturday and there are more sitting in there grinning at me now
Joannasmum, I was so sorry to hear what happened to you, that is truly appalling. <hugs> and more <hugs> to those in need today.
