I forgot to tell you we saw the nasiest spider for ages tonight. DH just got out of the shower and called "Aussielass Aussielass" check this out. In the folds of the shower curtain was this big mama with huge fangs. I usually get a dustpin brush and sort of lift them on that and put them outside on a tree. But this one looked deadly so got the spray. It's outside (dead) and DH is going to look up later on the internet to see what type it was.

Before I got the spray I wanted to take a photo of it to post it on here but DH who is in the nuddy wanted it dead quickly.

Prinny Those cakes sound yummy. Have the first two been posted on here?

Annie Shame about the jam. Can you make something out of it?

OH happy planting out the plants........ just come back for some rain water to water a couple of them in with, they are lime haters, so tap water is a no-no..... made myself a coffee and then set to in the kitchen. Just thought I would have another few minutes on here before I start on the ironing. OH asked in a plaintive voice this morning if I knew he was playing bowls Thursday and Saturday and had just put his last white shirt in the wash.....
so better get it done out of the way....... Tesco this aft for some bits.....

My step father died in 1971 and I still have a quiet moment on January 6th..... he was very old fashioned but a lovely person, he and my Mother were only married for 10 years before he died...........

Right, need to go and get on with the ironing and try and tidy up some of the stuff in my sewing room rather than just move it off the ironing board and dump it somewhere else.........

I have been up for a long while really, just haven't managed to get to the PC to post in peace
Big :grouphug: to jonnasmum and scuzz - thinking of you both
Smaller :grouphug: for everyone else.

WM is on its second load, washing up all done, ironing up to date.
OH wants 2 cakes for a meeting tomorrow so need to pop out and get the stuff, banana loaf and cramel shortcake I think are onthe cards.

Have a really bad shoulder/neck at the momenet, I have suffered before, so have booked a massage for this afternoon, so fingers crossed it works

Well Bargin - hope that you have a good day and that the solicitor gets his finger out!
Moggins - I'll join you fruit picking - was going to go for a mouch later to see if Ican get lucky.

Have to try and find a cheap water butt, as have just ordered my composter. Have looked on the green forum but its a bit too high brow for me

No not got the car back DH seems to think it will now be in a container at Liverpool docks waiting to be shipped somewhere

I will...it's been raining here, but looks like it's brightening up now!

I have found the best source...it's inside the school grounds (so no traffic and it doesn't look like anyone else has discovered it) I asked the headmistress if I could gather them and she told me to go ahead...I now have 4 jars of jam, 6lbs in the freezer and we've eaten loads in pies. But it's addictive in a theraputic way....so I'm up for gathering some more.

Yup, all three cakes from Old Style!! This will be my first birthday since joining MSE and OS so thought I'd do it OS!!!
