ooohh the length people will go to, to start a new x-stitch :rotfl:

That link won't show your kit :confused:and Im feeling like Im missing out on something now :p
Ha ha!:rotfl: What I did in the end was washed it and dried it and just kept stitching. I'll see what it's like at the end, I reckon once it's framed it will be ok. Sorry about the link, I'm not sure how to post a link or a photo, duh!
Its a kit called Mini Daisies by Simply Heritage - fortunately a lot of the colours are tea-like!
I've learned my lesson- tea to be drunk separately from stitching!
Have a lovely day everyone! :j

    Hello everyone!
I've got a question - Im just about to start my next kit which is a Charlie n frends design for my grandaughter.
It measures 8cm height x 25 width. Ive not stitched this shape before - can anyone suggest what size/ type of frame or hoop I should use.

    Thanks a lot!

PS I salvaged the tea disaster and its nearly finished with no further ill effects!

ooohhhh I do wish folks would stop bragging about starting new kits ;) :rotfl:

ooooohh eck -thats an odd size :rotfl:.... I would think that a small roll frame would be the best option -as you will get the "strip" shape tighter than in a hoop .... mind if we are being frugal :Aand I had a small hoop I would try that first ;)
I don't know if you have done it before -but if you have to use a hoop -when you have stitched an area and have to move it so it will get squashed in the frame -fold the excess spare fabric over your stitches and put the hoop over so the frame won't damage the threads :D
Glad the other kit survived the tea attack :T

I will post an update of my mums xmas pressie tomorrow -Im trying to keep myself motivated by recording how much I have done on a weekly basis :p

I have almost finished my latest project "New Arrival." I intend to stitch my Grandchildrens names around it, including my little "angel" grandchild when it's finished. Thought I'd get a photo on now before it's finished and I forget to take a WIP photo! It was taken with the flash on though but you get the idea.

Hiya to those that said hello to me! And thank you - a while ago busy bee me!! xx

As i said i haven't been cross stitching very long, my BF got me into it (though he doesn't like me spreading it about that he does it, i don't see anything wrong with a guy doing it though) I know to some of the ones that you's have done on here mine might seem like nothing but i was pleased to have been able to do them.

I like doing smaller things and usually unless its something a bit bigger, i take a few things and put them onto one.

I was going to put the pics here of the few things that I've done but it wont let me. The next thing that i'm doing is a football logo emblem for our fav football team for my stepdad for his birthday and doing one at the request of my sister for her friend.

I have only just learnt after many times of trying how to do french knots!! I love them now, did lots over and over when i knew how to! haha was only supposed to be a few bubbles coming out of a champagne glass too!

I like everyone's cross stitching on here! Really good!

Don't put down the pics you do..we all like different things -I actually find smaller pics more difficult -I think its because it doesn't hold my attention like a biggy ...you will soon find a biggy that you can't resist ;)

I will get this done in time IF I can keep my motivation... its made easier at the moment as it keeps raining so I want to stay indoors and not be in the garden looking after the veggies :D
right back to my sewing...have a great day everyone and "happy stitching"

Great work guys! :) All of your pieces look fab! Haven't posted in this thread for a while, have been busy working away on a taddy teddy wedding sampler, which I swear is never ending lol :P

However, I had a question to ask you all. I am a massive Banksy fan and heard about his work being available on cross stitch. I wanted to know if any of you knew where I could find these kits/charts as I'm dying to try these out :) Thanks all! :)

    Keep stitching! :)

:j Just a wee note on the above - I found her!!!! :j

I bought her on ioffer (£1.80 after exchange rate) but she is also on ebay - look for golden earth. (On ebay they do a Ruby earth too - same seller - red shades instead of orange) I got it as a PDF file. Thought the one I got has less colours - 75, all whole cross stitch and no beading.

Just thought I would pass it on. Deffo for my to do list. You know, I think I have found my cross stitch mojo again :)

Kind wishes to all - still working on my wedding sampler.

    sweetcarer ;)
:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j
