Fab piccy Mrs M. Really stunning. Well done and keep us up to date on your progress.
Due to some wimpy sick time I have nearly finished the cow. WOOHOO. I have had to stop for an hour or so though as I left the white stitches til last so that I didn't get them dirty and now it is hurting my eyes. Prob only a couple of hours of work left on him though. Dying to get back to my zebra but still got a pig and a sheep to do to complete the set for fairy godsons nursery.

MrsMcawber is right, they are stitched on linen. They did come with the kits as standard, which I was happy about as I like the effect!
I've been thinking about doing the celtic ladies for a while. Just got slightly put off as I'd really need to stitch the whole set, and that would take ages!Live on £11k in 20110 -
Mrs M I started your idea last night with putting my threads in the plastic card holders

Hi maria. Can't believe that has come round so quickly. How about stitching a floral pattern perhaps taken from a kit you have already done if you still keep the charts and spare thread. Or a picture of a baby or booties.
Here are some baby ones

and these are some floral ones

There are plenty of others too if you want to take a look.

Its a really good hobby, I really enjoy it - just not enough time to do all I want to do!

People laugh at me too saying I am old before my time but I find stitching relaxing and love creating something on a blank piece of fabric. I make cards too and have just had 3 of mine appear on the letters page of this month's Cross Stitch Crazy magazine (if you have it mine are the easter cards!). Very exciting to see my stuff in a magazine
I have lost my stitching mojo at the moment and haven't stitched anything for weeks. Need to get it back as have several projects to do for a new baby and a birthday and a couple of other bits. We are going on holiday next week so i am going to take a new project with me to get started and hopefully find my mojo in Dorset
Fab work everyone, lyndasharp and MrsM, I don't know how you have the patience for those huge pieces but they are stunning :A:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
WooHoo ladies.
I am back to the zebra. I have been able to finish the Cow and am just waiting for the energy to stand up and get the ironing board out before I frame him. Might not be today though as still hobbling about a bit.
Am really chuffed with it and can't wait to give it to my friend. Hopefully she'll be pleased even if it has taken far longer than I first thought.
No-one believes that I stitch, I'm not exactly known for my patience so I get lots of comments when people find out. Mostly about being old before my time!!! I love it though, its relaxing and I really love seeing my work on the wall or in other peoples houses.
Enjoy your stitching ladies
