Hi there I am a cross stitcher and artist and also developer of apps I am working on a new cross stitch app to help me convert photos to patterns on my iPad. I will probably release it on the App Store as well, but I thought I would find out if people would find it useful, It would also be good to know what features people would like to see. It’s not meant to be a replacement to desktop software but I personally need to be able to create small pattern ideas on the go when I only want to carry an iPad. At the moment I can import photos, dither the photo, add colours to a pallet, swap colours, delete colours. Draw individual stitches on top of the photo, export to a pdf pattern.. create designs from scratch without importing photos. Maybe there are plenty of apps already and a new one isn’t necessary? I haven’t yet found a reasonably priced iPad app that works for me.
